She will tour Europe in the fall, right? I have toooo go and see her 'cause I guess she will come to Scandinavia!!!! When I was a huge fan of her in the summer of American Doll Posse (2007) I was too late and she had already been to Norway and Denmark (she wasn't in Sweden thou)...but I hope this year that she will come here to Sweden too, but if she'll come to Norway I'll go!!!!!!! OMG!!!

Dan Phelps will be missed. I think she might end up doing a second US leg since she mentioned being on the road "until Christmas," but I don't know. I hope she does since I was looking forward to attending both NYC shows this tour.

So does anyone have any opinions on the album itself ?I just picked it up yesterday with the DVD vignettes..I think there are many good and a couple of great songs on it .IMO it's her bet since Scarlet's Walk which is one of her best IMO.I think if La Nicks put out a somewhat long winded album that contained this much quality new material many of would be beside ourselves with joy so I'm kind of surprised no one has said much now that the album is released.

Yes, I do have an opinion on the new album. I"ve very disappointed. It's way, way, way too long and half the songs don't feel like they fit with the rest. Like ADP, there's absolutely no consistency whatsoever. So I created my own little AATS, the way I feel it should have been released. I deleted 6 songs that I really have trouble listening to and rearranged the running order. Sorry but I really feel Tori has lost quite a bit of her artistic focus.

That is why I'm listening to the songs individually..it's much better that way..some real gems amongst the chafe.

I wish I could get into it. The Beekeeper, ADP and now this album have all failed to really speak to me. there were a couple on TB and ADP that I really like, but I hardly ever listen to either.

I made my own edit, too, because I do think it is a great album that is crowded with a bunch of mediocre songs.

I concur .It is kind of a glass half full thing. These days I'm happy if an album has half a dozen good songs on it and this one was has more than that.I guess her ability to edit has flown the coop permanently though.

So I thought I was being all "edgy" by making my own edited version of AATS. Then I check out a Tori forum that I just joined and realize everyone (like yourself) has done the same damn thing! LOL. It is interesting to see the songs people choose to include. My favs are Fast Horse/Fire to Your Plain/That Guy.

I wonder if maybe, to her, this is edited. I wonder how many discards there are, if any, from this record. Maybe she wrote a lot more songs that she had to not include. Who knows.

What do you think of the visualettes? I like WTE but the rest all seem too similiar in style and don't really make any statement IMO. It's just Tori wandering from locale to locale in designer duds.

Yeah Welcome to England is more like it was meant to be a music video..but Tori's videos in general were never very dynamic..I'm sure there were time and cost considerations in shooting 70 minutes worth of footage as well.

I read somewhere that she actually funded most of the videos out of her own pocket. Maybe I need to watch them more; I guess I just don't get their revelance. I would much rather have had a full show from the ADP tour, which is how the whole visualette thing started in the first place.

I absolutely love EVERYTHING on the new album except for "Not Dying Today", "That Guy" and "Mary Jane" but feel they would've made good b-sides. The tour has been amazing and I have to post this:
Photobucket
YEEEESSS thats right. It's me and Tori

Great picture! She's charming in person, isn't she? I agree about the tour, I was absolutely blown away when I saw her in Paris. Definately one of the best live acts I've ever seen.
