I think you'll find in verse one it's "the cost OF who we used to be". But thanks so much for transcribing it for us.

I like the first verse - a clear reference to being dogged by the shadows of Rumours (I think) and the refrain is a perfect picture of dreaming of an ideal world either while sleeping or drifting off.

But I have to agree, the production sounds way too much like a Tango B-side. Musically speaking it's Lindsey-lite and I only the rest of the album has more wellie as we say in England.

I think you are right, there seems to be a kind of rhodes at the chorus. It's subtle but definitely adds a beautiful musicality...

For those in the US, if you change your iTunes country to the UK, you can listen to the preview for free.

Thanks! That's what I was trying to say!! It's a dark rhodes sound..

And that sounds like Christine in a processor on the ah part of the grunt..

Yes But I think the 2 oh-ah-oh s are Lindsey, (the ah is speed up, as he does so often) - I'm pretty sure there are no Christine vocals...

That 'ah' sounds directly taken from Big Love.. I feel like I hear her whispers in the chorus.

i like Down Endless Street.......... but since you like this new one, i will probably hate it.

and on facebook almost every Lindsey fan hates it. people who loved Seeds We Saw, hate this one. i'm not optimistic, but still can't wait to hear for myself.

The preview hasn't impressed me 😔 But first singles rarely do, I think they're often just the safe option instead of the best option.

But it's not even a safe option. It's boring. This type of single's not going to get any type of attention or airplay

Hearing the preview now. Liking it but I do not hear ANY Christine which is curious. Don't even hear her musically. It's a mix of Trouble and Peacekeeper if you ask me. Though I hated Peacekeeper.

The people who like SWS don't like his other stuff? I like most of his stuff, myself. Its not like SWS came along and I was like "finally!"
