There are various versions of You and I Part 2, with Christine singing the lead vocals.

I'll cut and paste;

Ricky
Down Endless Street
Book of Miracles
You and I Part 1
Joan of Arc
Special Kind of Love
At the Fair
Plus all the 12” single versions
Plus demo versions of album tracks (Welcome to the Room…Sara is fab)
The alternate versions of Tango in the Night and Mystified that RD posted on The Penguins Tale are fantastic and really stand up on their own.
There are various versions of Isn’t It Midnight out there and numerous different instrumental versions of Little Lies. I’m sure there’d be plenty of other such nuggets tucked away.
I'd hope they'd also add ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love’ as the initial catalyst for the album.

I'd really like to have the last one in particular.
Nobody has answered my question on one of the other threads about live tracks. What might they do?

Would the casual listener or indeed the fan be happy with live tracks from the Shake the Cage Tour? I'd prefer them to steer away from them, particularly if they feature Rick and Billy heavily.

Anyway, three different Tango threads shows just how important and anticipated this deluxe release will be.

They'll just have to arrange a one off Tango In The Night concert and record it especially. I'd pay big money for that.
Actually, I don't think it would be a big deal. Would it really matter that Rick and Billy would be playing instead of Lindsey? No point in airbrushing history...this isnt an American World War 2 film.

You could have: Little Lies, Isn't it Midnight, Seven Wonders and Everywhere from the DVD. They don't sound very "live" but there you go. I guess Lindsey might want to add a live version of Big Love from whatever tour, since he loves that acoustic version so much....

Okay, help me out....I have it on VHS somewhere.
From what I recall it had Little Lies, Everywhere, Seven Wonders, Isn't It Midnight, The Chain, Don't Stop, Stand Back, I Loved Another Woman, Dreams, World Turning and (I think) Oh Well. After that I'm stumped. I want to say Gold Dust Woman, Songbird and Rhiannon but I'm not certain.

I think that's right.

I just wouldn't include the ones likes Oh Well or I Loved Another Woman.

I think as a live recording it's pretty bad, but that is simply because it's of its time.

I asked this same question a few months ago and everyone yelled at me
I just don't see the depth of this album enough to produce something along the lines of a Mirage deluxe version, etc.
I have heard cool demos of Isn't it Midnight but they were very primitive and rough. I don't know if the band would release such a rough demo.
According to Mick's book the band passed on Stevie's What has Rock N Roll ever done for you. I would LOVE to know if they ever tried the song. There is the Stevie demo floating around but I could see Lindsey rolling his eyes on such a song and not bothering to even play with it. Its tongue and cheek but the song has a very arrogant vibe which would have driven Lindsey up a wall.
Tango is so programmed that I don't get the excitement as the other albums. I could care less if there are 1,000 out takes of Caroline or You and I. The variations would matter how the song was programmed on 80's technology. Speed up the computer dubs or slow them down. Or how about adding Lindsey grunting.
Then you also have the issue with the live CD the band has been including in the other deluxe releases. It would be odd to release such live music without Lindsey.

No Rhiannon, but it also had Go Your Own Way. Don't Stop played over the credits.

Yeah, but I'm sure they can still manage three discs; the original album remastered, one disc of outtakes and B-sides, and the 3rd disc being a 5.1 mix.

I agree the big question is would there be a 4th disc of live tracks from the Tango tour. My vote would be yes.
