Default Tusk Outtakes

Here are a few Tusk outtakes that weren't on that bonus disc from the re-issue:

This one is "Think About Me". A while back, there was a thread here in which some people claimed that Lindsey took over "Think About Me" from Christine. This outtake is just Chris singing alone.

This one is "Never Make Me Cry". I think it's by far the best version I've ever heard of this song, and maybe one of Christine's best ever. This is the piano demo version, very Songbird like.

I like that 'Think About Me', it's nice to hear Chris without LB sort of singing over her. That was such a catchy song, it really should have been more of a hit IMO .

Thanks!

Thanks for posting these.

Never make me Cry is just beautiful!

So the outtake/demo is better than the version on the album (IMO)

Didn't Ms Nicks says something similar about her songs on SYW?

Explain yourself Mr Buckingham!

I think this demo version is better than the album version, but I've never heard Chris say that. I've never actually heard her criticize Lindsey's production on any of her songs.

I don't know. I kinda miss Lindsey's voice on there. I think it makes it a little more "rock" sounding.
Think About Me is one of my top five favorite songs. I could never figure out why they didn't give it more love. It rocks!

Oh, I love Never Make Me Cry. It does make me cry, from time to time.

You know this song really demonstrates just how good of a composer Christine is. This song is really great pop for 1979.

I was referring to "Never Make Me Cry". I think that piano demo is better than the album version. I prefer the album version of "Think About Me" to this Chris only outtake. I really don't mind that Lindsey sort of takes over the song from Chris.
