Really, I wasn't concerned with what you understood or not. It's a thread. One reply builds upon the reply of another and you don't have to take everything as a personal comment or a reflection on what you know or don't know.

I've seen your comments about Hotness threads, the Cheri Caspari thread, etc. I know you think it's ridiculous when the comments veer into that strain and away from the art. I know why you re-focused the discussion. I wasn't writing, "boy that totally went over his head. Let me set him straight." I was daisy-chaining on your reply.

Well, it is a thread, but when you quote me, you are referring to the quote and it is easily read as a comment on mine. So if you are speaking in general, don't quote me.

Well, then you don't catch the real irritation that I've expressed in those threads. I couldn't care less if people are going nuts on gossip and looks about an artist. But real LB fans will certainly be fans because of his musical talent and strong artistic identity. (a million times repeated by the man himself, and maybe the most people are irritated because he always repeats the same things, but I guess he has to keep on repeating until people will learn). I don't care if you go gaga because of his hips lips butt or chesthair. Go ahead. But IN THIS community, a thread about music and art can wait until eternity before there's a response, and a thread about some exgirlfriend is endless within 24 hours.

I can relate to that in the Stevie forum, the Chit Chat-forum, and even the soapopera-rumours forum, but in the lindsey buckinghamforum, I still think it is a weird balance.

It might very well be a comment on what you have written, but it is not a comment on your intellect, although you are always quick to assume it is. I find it ironic that someone who is so quick to insult others is always so quick to imagine insult against himself where none exists.

If you make a comment about the band, unless someone is baiting you, any follow up to that comment is likely to be about the band and not about you. If you don't want to be quoted, don't post. If you are going to post, don't assume that every reply you get is somehow questioning your IQ. Unless you are talking about yourself personally, odds are the replies won't be about you personally and what you know or don't know either.

Michele

I didn't think you insulted me or questioned my IQ. From your post it looked that you misunderstood me. I'm sorry if you misunderstood me again.

What have I done to you? You paint me as some paranoid idiot.

I really don't know why you do this.

I think the version of Angel that we see Stevie performing on stage in the Tusk documentary (from the youtube clip I've seen) has an AMAZING vocal. It gets turned into a real rock song...are there many mp3s of Angel performed live from this era?

A whole bunch of them. Here's ANGEL from Yokohama February something-or-other 1980:

Instrumentally speaking, ANGEL onstage represents just about the best example of Christine's self-appraisal as a part of the rhythm section rather than a soloist.

I love the studio so much better... seems like they sped up the tempo a little.... sounds a little rushed live.. but still one of my fav Tusk songs...

I love Angel live. I like it much better live than in the studio - I like that it is faster live. It makes it more exciting, IMO. Angel was one of those songs that I didn't care for till I heard it live, then I got it. (even though I was not really there)

Totally agree!!

I like "Angel" on the album as well as live, but for "Sisters of the Moon" the album version just doesn't give it enough credit.
SOTM live is just amaaaaaaazing and that's what totally makes the song!

I agree about Sisters of the Moon. Every live version I've heard is great! Does anyone have a good audio quality one I can download from mediafire or somewhere? I lost LOADS of my mp3s when my laptop decided to go crazy a couple of weeks ago....
