Funny, in her interview with Courtney Love she said she didn't know exactly what GDW was about and that "it couldn't all be about cocaine."

I thought it was originally inspired by one or several drugged out groupies.

Lord knows, I've posted my share of Stevie gripes, but I have no issues with this set list and I'm 100% satisfied. When just need to be grateful that Stevie is shaking up the set list. I've been attending Stevie solo shows since 1981, and had grown tired of sitting through the SAME old tirade for years (with the exception of 1998's incredible "Enchanted Tour").

Bella Donna, Wild Heart, Crying In The Night, New Orleans, Gold and Braid, Belle Fleur, Starshine----all in the one set-------I'm a happy camper!

I wonder how many people enjoy hearing her "chat between songs"? I honestly think her rambling is an indication of early onset senility.
#1 - she may not have the range she once had but I'd beg to differ on "she can no longer sing to save her life".
#2 - since when has Stevie not been a bit of a chatterbox? It's part of her charm and in no way represents "senility". That is a pretty mean thing to say.
#3 - these types of comments are why I never come on this board anymore. What are people who have sort of thing to say even doing here?

To the original posters' point I totally agree about WH and BD. would have LOVED to hear both (or even one) in entirety. But I'll take what I can get because I'm so thankful she is still out there doing her thing.

I of course was really excited about the songs' inclusion in the set and as I stated originally, I loved the show. I just hate when art gets abridged. I hate Reader's Digest. I hate that idea. I hate Cliff Notes. I hated the radio friendly Sara. So this was just a small disappointment, and since I don't have close friends who are Macheads, I posted here because I just wanted to express my displeasure. But I totally agree with you that she can still sing and that labeling people senile is pretty heartless, especially if you have had to take care of people who are truly senile/have dementia. But I usually just ignore the mean, hurtful, careless remarks that people here sometimes casually make and focus on the other remarks. So don't stay away from the board. It will be a better place if you post.

I'm with you PattyFan. It would be fantastic to get unabridged songs. Your comments are totally reasonable and valid.

It was the other "gentlemans" post (that I quoted) that irked me.

I was at the San Diego show! Been a Stevie fan since the 70's, she looked great, sang wonderful, had incredible energy! I do wish that she would have sung WH and BD in it's entirety but glad that I was even able to see these songs performed live. I love the stories. She has led a fascinating life.........

But she really isn't, or at least to my ears it isn't. Certainly not as entertaining as it was during the RAL tour when she roared, barked, and bellowed.
I know right? What is her vocal coach teaching her?

Stevie has not been on this tour at all, as he is touring with Olivia Newton John at the moment.

You're a good FM fan, patty! Seriously. I don't think any of my friends at work would want to talk about the Tango Deluxe edition, that's why we come here to this board, so we can exchange ideas without people judging or making fun of us, so it's unfortunate when that sort of thing does happen, especially here.

I agree, I would have preferred hearing the Wild Heart and Bella Donna individually, and it's too bad it didn't happen! Nothing wrong with being disappointed about it.
