It's one of those sad but hysterical moments all at the same time.
That was in Holland at a show called Rock Over Europe. I was in the audience and I felt really bad for her because everybody laughed at her and she was soooooooo nervous. Mind you, she was the only artist who performed live and she had to do the best she could in one song.

Overall Destiny Rules made me laugh quite a bit...
Everytime i hear My Little Demon I end up giggling through the whole song, it just sounds so funny with the "ghost" effects.
A lot of the quotes in mags make me laugh...

Default ...trying to make Hamburger Helper DIFFERENT...

Without a doubt, the funniest thing I've ever seen is the "Hamburger Helper" MTV interview Stevie did with Mark Goodman. It was done just after The Wild Heart came out.

Mark asked Stevie about "the old days" living with Lindsey, and Stevie made a grimace-y face and got very sarcastic, and said (roughly):

"It was just so weird living there. There were all these guys -- there were guys laying all over the floor, everywhere, practicing the guitar. And I'm stepping over them, 'Excusemeexcuseme...'. It was like summer camp, and I was the Camp Director. And Lindsey... I was in the kitchen, trying to make Hamburger Helper DIFFERENT, and Lindsey was PRACTICING the GUITAR. That is, until Lindsey put our electric skillet in the dishwasher. Which meant we had no skillet. Which meant we had no Hamburger Helper!!!"

And lazy.

The whole interview is a riot. Stevie is in a very very good mood (who wouldn't be sitting across from cutie Mark Goodman?), and she looks amazing. I wish it was on a webpage somewhere. I didn't see it when it originally aired, only on a Stevie/Mac compilation tape someone made me years ago, and I played it so many times I doubt it would even work now.

Hamburger Helper rocks!!! Especially Beef Noodle. ARGHHHHHHH....

And I, too, have been poor as dirt, had only HH to eat, and tried to make it different, so I completely understood where she was coming from.

And, my Mom has always supported my Stevie habit, without so much as a question or batting an eyelash. Thanks, Mom, indeed!

I'll admit I do make it about twice a month, usually the lasagna one, sometimes beef noodle! It's quick and easy and my daughter eats it (never mind my son who eats about 5 foods). it's not the healthiest thing though. I'm aware of that...

Another thing? That whole "Christine and I are living in an apartment..." thing from some 79 interview. With the 75 adopted Vietnamese children and Lindsey smoking hash or whatever. I think I have the audio somewhere. That whole interview was so random and nonsensical.

ummm...sorry, can someone explain what hamburger helper is exactly. I'm guessing it's seasoning, you add to mince beef and shape into hamburgers?

yeah, except i don't think people usually make it into hamburgers. I think it comes out as a hamburger dish? Can't believe i never had it...I think in our house spaghetti sauce was the helper, and my mom just made it?
