she said this
Stevie told me that Fleetwood Mac’s long world tour is finally over. Now they will undertake a new album. Not just the four songs they released for download in 2014. “A whole album, we have plenty of songs,” she advised. This will be most welcome. Their last album came out in 2003, before I was born.

New album
What is the status of the new album? I haven't seen any news since the interviews with Stevie which confirmed that the album was underway, in December or so.
BTW: I'm not sure which forum to post this in. I've posted it here as it's the Rumours lineup. I assume that a moderator will move it to a better location if there is one. |

You can scroll anywhere in the forum for as long as you like, you will not find anything recent or definitive about a new album.
Instead, the old albums are being re-released as deluxe box sets, and there is a persistent hum about a 2017 tour. So the likely scenario is a deluxe box of another album or two (TISL, White album...) and then one more big oldies tour. |

I check this daily. Nothing new or substantial. Nothing. I used to bristle when Mitzo said "There will be no new Mac album" but now I'm beginning to think that could be true.
I'm worried, too, that any new music we get will be about two or three songs added to the set list for the next tour and that's it. I'm so deflated. We could all use definitive information instead of this interminable string along. Last edited by aleuzzi; 06-13-2016 at 04:31 PM.. |

Or a posthumous release of the stuff after one of them conks it.

Or a box set with a handful of Extended Play - type new songs.

The guys all fired Stevie. They will regroup later this year at Night of 1,000 Stevies, where they will recruit a new singer with flowing locks and raspy voice.
