Default Trivia question

On Jessica's great Lindsey site (lindseybuckingham.net), she posted a trivia question a little bit ago that's got me generally curious.

Question: Which of the following clubs was Lindsey in during his junior year of high school?

A. Radio
B. Boys' Athletic Board
C. Boys' Block Society
D. Safety Council

Answer: C. Boys' Block Society

Does anyone happen to know what the Boys' Block Society would be? I'm thinking it's perhaps sports-related, but I've never heard of this before, so I'm just curious if anyone might know what this is? Thanks.

Heart Re: Trivia question

I sure don't know what that is, but it certainly sounds interesting. Possibly you could contact the school and say that you heard they used to have that club (or still do?) and ask them what the heck it is, if no one here knows.

Talking Block Society!

Hi Fans!
Why don't you call schools in your areas
and ask if they have Block Societys?
Maybe it is A California thing! Jessica may
know what it means! I really like her site too!
Her friend Lindsey would surely approve!!! Sky

Wink I found out! :)

Hey Well, I finally found someone who knew what it was! This person was in Lindsey's graduating class and knew Lindsey. Here's what he said:

"I knew him very well, the whole family infact. I grew up with him in Atherton and went to school all through up to college. Your question is very easy. The Block Society was the block Menlo-Atherton group for the guys who went out for sports. He played water polo and swam like i did. We all got block letters for a sweater that was worn usually on Fridays."

Hi Jessica!
Thanks a lot! You must know ppl!
I know a Dr in San Jose and he was going
to ask around! Good Job! I got a question!

I want to know all about his relationship
with his"high-school sweetheart"...as Javier
described her...Sally Durbin!

He said he always thought they would get
married eventually! Wonder if she did marry!
