Well it wasn't Dave's fault neither Annie. Annie was having a nervous breakdown in the late 80's and wasn't coping well (which is why there was no tour for the brilliant Savage album). She wanted to get away from the record a new album/tour for months routine. According to them both they never really broke up and still talk to each other. Despite being a brilliant singer/songwriter Annie has never truly enjoyed the spotlight.
