Stevie could have quit, which would have ended any hope of a big tour. Let’s be honest, 2017 proved that Stevie doesn’t exactly need the band anymore. She was playing large arenas while LBCM were playing small to mid-sized amphitheaters.

At that point, Lindsey would have demanded a delay, since they wouldn’t be in a position to say no. So, Christine would have had to stop working for at least a year and hang her hopes on Lindsey being expedient with his project. Then, he’d demand the band record another album before hitting the road, which would further put them at the mercy of his expediency.

OR, she could side with Stevie, definitely get the big tour right away, maybe another album (band or otherwise), and not have to stop.

She’s almost 76. Seriously, what were her choices?

while you made up a whole bunch of scenarios, the only scenario we know about was that Lindsey was gonna do a short solo tour (he did 2 months!), and that Christine considered dropping in on his tour, according to Rick Turner.

the year of delays, new album, etc etc are purely your speculation and not grounded in any facts.

now, would it be better option for Christine to satisfy her creative juices and make another album at 76, or waste another 1.5 year on greatest hits same ole world tour, after already spending 2014, 2015 and 2017 touring?

and for 5000th time - Fleetwood Mac brand sells. which you yourself were saying in 2017 when you wanted BuckVie to be branded FM (and you have that same argument about your main GbV guy), but now you are conveniently forgetting all about it. so yeah maybe they would be selling out mostly amphitheaters instead of arenas without Stevie. still fine, respectable, and lucrative.

But that’s when you call her bluff. She wasn’t really going to quit yet. She likes the Hollywood of Fleetwood Mac. She’d want to do it one more time, even if she said she wouldn’t to win an argument.

Do you tour with Fleetwood Mac or open for Rod Stewart?

She has now the best of both worlds: the adulation, the money, and a tour without Lindsey and with her favorite people.

She just can’t hide her happiness anymore.
Wonder what’s gonna happen once her dreamy tour ends.

What's next after current tour for Stevie?
Writing a Rhiannon illustrated novel.
Marrying Mike Campbell and adopting a teenage daughter and teaching her to sing.
Getting dementia.
Nursing home.
Death.

Before she marries Mike Campbell, Mick will need to force Stevie and Neil Finn to have an affair to create the chemistry and energy and passion (albeit fake) this tour is missing
Spot on

I hope the latter three are in her near future. Well, dementia has probably already happened, given her psychotic judgements in the past year or two...

There aren't many people in the universe, that I'd dance in the street for their ultimate demise, yet....

Mick doesn't care who screws who so long as in the end we all get screwed.
Don't joke about dementia, unless it is going to make the demented person laugh too.

Stevie Nicks is not a quitter. Bit of a backstabber sure, but one thing she does not do and would never do, is quit. She should have quit while she was ahead and allow Buckingham McVie to forge ahead as a duo, or for the BuckVie studio quartet to tour as the new Fleetwood Mac. But Stevie never quits, especially not when she is ahead.

Note for your Mama, don't tell me what to do.

You probably shouldn't get wasted, before you give advice here....????

You wag.

Seriously, now, M'Lady Stevie's got a few things in her future: the Hall of Fame honor, her latest package (is that out yet?), and of course Fleetwood Mac's tour schedule. My hunch is that live performance, with Fleetwood or on her own, is going to be the linchpin of her public life, as it's been for a long time now. She does lots of other little fritty projects, like cameos on dumb TV shows and recording songs with a train of adulatory musicians, but none of those things is long term. Notice that? Stevie has never liked long-term inward-focused work—work that takes intense concentration—like making albums in the studio or writing books. She's very solitary—but she's really not very solitary. She's the eternal work-as-party girl. I think I know why her Rhiannon script idea never came to fruition: it's long-lasting, solitary work (even if Karen is in the room with her), and she doesn't have the drive for it, whether she writes the screenplay or just "oversees" it. Even her cameos on TV, from Up All Night to American Horror Story, obviously take her no more than a single day, maybe two, to film, and all they require of her is to be . . . her.

The other Macsters have always said Stevie gets bored in the studio. She'd prefer to sing live, where she can emote and sing one song once for the night and get high on the overwhelming immediacy of the audience's response. (Remember how her voice and face seemed to fall when she had to redo parts of her Melbourne concert with the orchestra because someone failed to record it?)

This use of touring as some sort of psychological bulwark against sitting at home, turning inward, has been Stevie's life since she hit 50 and it's going to continue being her life. It's what we'll see from her next year and the year after, and so on. No mystery, really. She even said in that most recent magazine interview that she has no intention of quitting—touring.

Why would anyone even care what Kristen thinks? She's obviously gonna side with her FIRED husband. Girl Bye.

If you read the recent interviews with CM and MF they both said the same thing. Stevie and Lindsey could not share a stage anymore. If they kept LB over Stevie, they'd be playing small pubs right now. Haha. Stay mad people.

No, Stevie could not share a stage with Lindsey – not vice-versa. We don't know what would have happened had the band called her bluff.
