Oh snap, it's Dave Stewart from Eurythmics? Asking about relationship? After what he said about Stevie recently? Weird.

Playing "Did You Miss Me" now.
I love this song. *sighs*

The wording of the "burned her bridges" thing is, IMO, needlessly harsh. She simply decided that she finally, after all of these years, wanted to retire from the road. That's not exactly burning your bridges, by the standard definition of the phrase.

I was sort of holding my breath while he was talking -- thinking, "uh-oh, where's this question leading?"

Something about her having sex with him (Stewart) and the next day Stevie telling him to get lost cuz Tom Petty and Jimmy Iovine were coming over. He said that was what he wrote Don't Come Around Here no More aout. Although some here thought it might be a joke that he said that. Cuz he's known for being a jokester. He probably did make it up! As I wrote that out it just sounds so hokey. It's somewhere here on the boards.

He basically told Howard Stern that she was pretty much a drug-fueled one-night stand that he didn't even remember. Said something about being awakened the next morning and hurriedly ushered out of her house.

Back to Rockline.... LB's playing "Time Precious Time" now. Hmm... this one might be a little too much like some of the Under The Skin tracks for my tastes. But it may actually be different on the album, so I'll reserve judgement.

(snort). Totally, and I'm like, does Lindsey know what he said? So freaking bizarre.

Go to the "Dave Stewart on Stevie Nicks" Thead in the Stevie section... I posted today an mp3 of his interview where he talks about his encounter with her.

"Time Precious Time" is making me really, really happy. I love his songs like this, and the manic guitar work makes me all giddy and ridiculous. I'm actually sitting here laughing with excitement for this album/tour because of this performance right now! I can't wait till he does this one live, holy crap!

Wasn't it though? It really translated well to an acoustic setting.
