Exactly! I have this very footage on tape. Lindsey is definitely using a pick (It is brown). I have watched or listened to an interview with Lindsey that explained why he used a pick early on in Fleetwood Mac. Initially, Mick, John, and Chris wanted Lindsey to use a pick to help with the transition between Bob Welch and him/sound consistency on certain songs. Lindsey, being the new member, caved in to them. Therefore, Lindsey played with a pick for a small amount of time early on. Lindsey DID NOT want to use a pick, and after a short time, Lindsey convinces the other band members that it wasn't necessary to use a pick to achieve the effect they wanted on these songs. He hasn't used a pick on stage since, including The Dance. If you look at studio footage, Lindsey sometimes uses a pick for certain effects on certain songs, even now---but it is rare. He has talked about this in interviews, as well.
