It's nearly impossible to come up with a definitive complilation. Perhaps each writer get a "best of" disc of their own songs.

It can be very hard to play because it's a sea of the same.. you forget where the next section starts and ends.....

It's like drowning, in a sea of the same progressions...

I'm sorry about the lack of inclusion for anything "post-Mirage". I just think the MAC's best work has been produced UNDER THE INFLUENCE. Moreover, I can't justify including work from "Behind the Mask", "Time" or "Say You Will" on a TOP 20 list. Not that those albums don't have some shining moments, they're just not TOP 20 material.

I have never understood why Songbird isn't played on Adult Contemporary stations. That should be a Delilah radio staple. It's a beautiful love song, yet doesn't receive the appreciation it deserves outside of old Fleetwood Mac concerts.

Yet, it seems to be known. I mean, it still seems to make the cut when it comes to wedding songs even for couples who came along well over a generation after Rumours.

I'm surprised Over My Head made this list.

True. Is it not played on mainstream radio because it wasn't a single? Like Say You Love Me and Don't Stop, for example, which are probably the most played Christine songs.

The Chain is too far down for my tastes, but I like that the list spans the whole life of the band (Time/BTM era notwithstanding). Sara and Silver Springs are obvious omissions but I don't know what I'd take out... maybe they should have done top 25.

The writing is really good, inspired in places... I'll be referring to Chris' voice as "claret-stained" from now on, and now that I think about it, "Dreams" does keep time with the windshield wipers.

We're so close to this music as super fans, it's easy to take for granted how amazing and timeless a line like "Dreams unwind/Love's a state of mind" is... Devastating, brilliant.

Sounds like I should by me a copy of Bare Trees.
I don't own any pre-Buckingham Nicks albums, but I do love what I have heard of Bob Welch and Christine McVie's compositions on Mystery to Me.

Believe Me is one of my favourite C McVie songs.
Hypnotized is great

Bob's solo Ebony Eyes is classic. Gets played a lot on WS FM radio in Sydney.

I don't think that list was too bad, although maybe the order wasn't my particular taste. I just put the first 20 down that came to mind, no rearranging afterward or anything...

Go Your Own Way
Gold Dust Woman
The Chain
Say You Love Me
Sisters of the Moon
Angel
Hold Me
Little Lies
Tusk
Spare Me a Little
Hypnotized
Gypsy
Everybody Finds Out
Behind the Mask
Green Manalishi
Big Love
Second Hand News
As Long as You Follow
Never Going Back Again
Silver Springs
