Cool 100 Greatest blues instrumentals

A website called DigitalDreamDoor has posted their listing for the "100 greatest blues instrumentals" of all time -
Coming in at number 3 was "Albatross"
number 6 was "The Supernatural"
number 52 was "Tribal Dance"
number 81 was "Jigsaw Puzzle Blues"

must admit I was surprised and pleased by the last two ("Tribal Dance" was credited to "Fleetwood Mac / Peter Green")

Hmm..interesting. "Albatross" and "Supernatural" are fairly established as classics, but "Tribal dance" is a nice surpise. Albatross is hardly a blues though?

yeah, Albatross isn't really blues, is it?

What about "Fleetwood Mac" and "World in Harmony"?

I'd have thought "Fleetwood Mac" counts as a blues, but not "World In Harmony" or "Albatross" - I don't think "Tribal Dance" is anything like a blues, but I'm glad it's been recognised anyway

Isn't "Jigsaw Puzzle Blues" some kind of jazz-thing, rather than blues?

Having said all that, I'm no musician, so how do I know what a blues is?

Anything you want it to be. How Bob Welch & Billy Burnette could keep introducing "Oh Well" as "blues" used to boggle my mind.
