Default CDs without one bad track

I was glancing at my 400+ CDs earlier this evening and thinking how incredibly rare it is that I like every single song on a CD. Even in the case of some of my favorite singers, I can't say that I like every song on their albums. There's almost always at least one that either does nothing for me or just sucks. Some of the singers whose CDs have all great tracks in my book still aren't my all-time favorite singers, either.

These are the only CDs I have that have no unlikable tracks to me:

Lindsey Buckingham- Out of the Cradle (this is the only FM-related CD I have with all solid tracks, IMO)
No Doubt- Tragic Kingdom
Sara Evans- Born to Fly
Reba McEntire- Rumor Has It
Cyndi Thomson- My World
Celine Dion- Unison (pop perfection )
Shakira- MTV Unplugged
Big Daddy- The Best of
Big Daddy- Sgt. Pepper's
Kim Richey- Kim Richey
Kim Richey- Rise
Terri Clark- Terri Clark
Norah Jones- Come Away with Me

That seems to be it. It strikes me as odd that that list doesn't even represent some of my very favorite artists.

So what about y'all?

First off - I like Terry Clark - I used to work at a Country Music station - and I dug her - our production manager SWORE that she's a lesbian - do you know if that is true?

--------

Okay - here are some cds on which I like every track (these are the ones that come to mind):

Sarah McLachlan - Surfacing
Alanis Morisette- Jagged Little Pill
Meredith Brooks - Blurring the Edges
Sheryl Crow, Tuesday Night Music Club, C'mon C'mon, The Globe Sessions
Loretta Lynn-Van Lear Rose
Matchbox 20 - Mad Season
Cyndi Lauper - 12 Deadly Cyns

I love her voice and when she does the traditional country sound. Her first album is the only one that I really love. Anyway, I know she has something of a lesbian following, but I have never heard that she's gay herself! Ah, that would be lovely.

I'll take her!

LOL - well the woman who told me that is a hard-core lesbian herself - and she claims that Terri is a lesbian but can't really come out in the "country music world"

So to back this claim, Lori (that was the lesbian manager's name) said that at a Terri show, Lori got to go meet her backstage (she got to do that with all the country acts) and anyway - as she was leaving she said Terri leaned over to hug her and whispered in her ear, "Great earring, wish I could wear one" - Lori was wearing a rainbow earring.

Don't know if that's true or not....

K.D. Lang is a lesbian isn't she? You could come out in the country music world if you really wanted to.

I'm so bummed I didn't get to go. First, I couldn't find a sitter, and even if I did, he was rained out. Maybe he will make a rain date that I can find a sitter for.

I agree.

Deanna, that story is fascinating! I had never heard that about her before! I think she could come out, but I'm well aware that a lot of people I know who love country music would not approve of that at all. But, in my experiences, people don't stop listening to the music for that reason or others like that. Country fans seem to be loyal enough so that if they like the music that's all that matters.

I just don't like "Baby Girl." But I do love most of that album. She's wonderful! I prefer her debut to Folklore, I have to say.

K.D. Lang is a lesbian!?!

Just kidding. Yeah - you make a good point - she's as out as they come - but she's the only one I think
