Trinity
Hey Mac fans, I assume someone here knows (and has polssibly already discussed) the story behind "Trinity"--a song which I hadn't heard until I purchased The Chain boxset in the early nineties. The copyright info says it was first published in 1971. Does anyone know if this song was written before Bob Welch joined? Was it an outtake for the Future Games sessions? or was it an outtake for the ensuing Bare Tress record?
Whatever the story, I can't believe it managed to stay hidden for so long. IMO it's one of the band's best songs. |

Peter Lewry's book Fleetwood Mac: The Complete Recording Sessions 1967-1997 lists "Trinity" as being recorded as part of the sessions for Bare Trees, in early 1972. There's a bootleg with a live performance of the song from 22 November 1971, and more performances through the summer of 1972. Don't know anything about it beyond that, though.
