Default Poll:Next Release Options

I’ve pretty much resigned myself to believe that there won’t be another album from Stevie (solo or FM). I figure better to be happily surprised if one comes out than disappointed hoping for one that never comes. So I’m wondering what do you think is the most likely outcome for a potential music project from her?

I was limited to 10 options but another one could have been a broadway show based on Stevie or Fleetwood Mac songs.

Here’s what I think the probability of each option coming to fruition:
New Solo Album - 10%
Another Repackaged Greatest Hits - 50%
Deluxe Reissue of a solo album - 40%
New Fleetwood Mac album - 5%
Stevie penned song release for a soundtrack - 25%
Soundtrack song release not written by Stevie - 75%
Collaboration on another artist’s album - 90%
”Single” release of a Stevie penned song - 30%
Nothing new coming EVER - 5%
Other/something else please specify in comments

The only thing I can reckon is the album of all the "Rhiannon" songs.

I would prefer a new solo album...but since I don't see that happening I'm hoping for the rest of Stevie's solo albums to be remastered with bonus tracks!

Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks have gone the way of releasing compilations after studio and live albums and extended plays. It would be fresh and exciting to have something new.

For Stevie, I would be content with a live album and new studio albums, including another Songs from the Vault. If releasing albums is not the way to go, release extended plays.

If no Album with new material, (which will not happen)

Then I would like an Album of her Live performances from 1975 onwards.
Not solo stuff, just taken from Fleetwood Mac tours.
Like best live Sara, Gypsy, etc and a couple of live stuff you don’t hear...Angel etc

She has been talking about this for years, so I can see this happening. I just hope(doubt) it will be the recordings from the 70’s and not re-recorded today.

I doubt if the 70s recordings of these will surface unless there's a good tape somewhere that nobody's heard. She could do this as a collaborative project with other artists.

I’m down. But I’d want solo performances. I feel as if we had a great collection already of her Fleetwood Mac performances (the deluxe white album, the deluxe Rumours, the deluxe Tusk, the 1980 Live, the 1982 Forum thing, the US Festival video, the Dance, Live in Boston, and so on).

There is one Fleetwood Mac thing which I’m disappointed was never officially packaged: Trod Nossel Studios in Wallingford CT, I think from late September 1975. Superb show with very small audience. Best World Turning I’ve ever heard.

On the other hand, we have practically nothing of any sonic value from the 1983 tour.

I can report that there probably won't be anymore Deluxe Editions Remasters of anything. I recently spoke with Bill Inglot at Rhino Records (the dude in charge of the BD and WH remasters, as well as the Fleetwood Mac deluxe Editions) and SPECIFICALLY asked him if anything was in the pipeline regarding the remastering of the rest of her solo albums. His response...

"We tried but she isn't interested."

So that's it. Unless she has a change of heart, we're not going to get anymore Deluxe or Expanded Editions of anything until she has passed away and her family (Chris) starts selling off her stuff.

I think Rock A Little was the worst album of the entire 1980s. However, the songs that were cut and some of the demos are pretty good even in their 80s synth magic.
I would love to see RAL Deluxe reissue with all the remastered songs that did not make it:
Mirror Mirror, Running Through the Garden, extended version of RAL (song), etc

I think she believes her best solo albums were Bella Donna and Wild Heart. I'm not surprised she doesn't want any more deluxe versions.

I remember loving Rock A Little when it was released. I do agree that I would really like to see a deluxe reissue.......

She hit a home run with BD and WH... after that just us diehards love her solo stuff.

Debates can be made for the other albums, well because we are diehards. But, the general public doesn't care about Trouble, RAL, Other Side, etc.. ergo, she probably doesn't either. An unjustified expense.
