Default Lucky Green Manalishi

I was lying in bed this morning and at about 6.55 on Radio Five Live (BBC radio station) they have a chap on who gives racing tips.

His tip was a horse called Green Manalishi so I put £1 (about $2) on it to win.

And it did! Bloody Hell!

I won £3.50 plus my £1 back

Regarding the horse was called Green Manalishi, you should have put all your own "Green Manalishis" on it.

Yes but then it probably wouldn't have won

am I on the "slippery slope"?

Maybe I'll wait until there's another horse with a name associated with FM before I put another bet on.

It did inspire me to go and listen to the original Greatest Hits CD.

Fabulous songs

I'm not really the betting sort.

I placed the bet online at lunchtime at work for a race that started at 2:40 but I completely forgot about it until I went online at home at about 7:30 pm

This horse earned a little piece in the Racing Post, Britain's horse racing newspaper, with reference to the meaning of its name, so there's a little potted history plus a pic... nice to see PG and FM getting coverage in a decidedly non-musical paper!

The horse runs again on Tuesday - the 3.05 at Royal Ascot, if anyone's interested in losing .. *koff* betting some money Only kidding, I don't know how its chances are

Hope you can all read that

They could've found a better photo of Peter to use, I think.

I think the main consideration was finding a free photo of Peter to use But it could've been worse...
