Default Mick Fleetwood's Random Thought's...

This is under the Fleetwood Files. You can pull up a page where he puts down some notes of what he did for the day. Some interesting stuff...check this out from previous thoughts...

January 9, 2003 Maui Today I went out for ten hours sailing on a huge catamaran, the Shangri-La, with my wife and some friends. It was fantastic. Sun, dolphins, whales, and a quick visit to the island of Molokai. Now to bed. Fresh air will do that.

January 8, 2003 Maui Wow…the days go so fast. Too fast for my liking. However, knowing that I go straight into rehearsals upon my return to LA is exciting, and I am looking forward to becoming a fulltime drummer again. The Mercedes Golf Championship is underway here on Maui, and I’m looking forward to watching the final round.

December 14, 2002 Maui Today I took care of some of the many business issues that I have in my entrepreneurial world outside of Fleetwood Mac. I’m trying to be very disciplined with time spent on the phone, etc. so that my other time is freed up to smell the roses!! However, during one of my calls, I found out that a partner of mine, Jonathan Todd, has a love for fencing (foil, epée, sabre). How cool that is for me because I was introduced to a new “maestro” in the art of fencing, a sport that has been a long time interest of mine. That was one business call that opened up a whole new area for me.

December 12, 2002 Maui This will be my last holiday for the next two years (the Mac’s world tour). I have pledged to take this time to train like a maniac. With that in mind, my trainer, Marc Vahanian, and I have just run five miles up the side of a mountain. Any time I feel like maybe it’s time to turn for home, I say to myself “Mick, you’re only half way through the show” (probably about 2 ½ hours of solid playing), so on we go up the mountain. Training for the road for me has a big pay off. I need the extra power to put behind those drums!

December 12, 2002 Maui Leaving from LA to Maui…home. Arriving on Maui never ceases to heal me. How special to be spending Christmas with family on the island. Ruby and Tessa are 9 ½ months old, and like all children, give us a reason to Believe . . . even in a very strange world right now.

December 10, 2002 Los Angeles Today was the last day in the studio. I was helping Lindsey put some finishing touches on the new Mac album, and the two of us were sitting there at the end of the day realizing that we’re about to hand this record over. It was very dramatic, sort of sad. We have all worked so hard getting everything as right as can be, and Lindsey should get a Grammy award for the most hours spent in the studio.

Nice to see they went right into rehersal's after the holidays.

Lindsey SHOULD get a Grammy (and NOT for that reason!! I'm talking seriously.) He damn well deserves one.

Yeah, Grammy's are voted by industry peers anyway aren't they? I definitely have a feeling about this one.....
