Tinsley Ellis about Peter Green
Hi,
Tinsley Ellis (well-known musician from Atlanta) said: I was really influenced by the British Blues movement and still am. Probably my favorite was Peter Green while he was with Fleetwood Mac. He had a great style and was so tasteful. The whole interview: http://www.mnblues.com/review/2005/t...s-intv-th.html Krzysztof Last edited by kowk; 12-08-2009 at 06:01 AM.. |

Quote:
A lot of guitar players were so enamored of SRV because he was so spartan and clean in his ability to channel Albert King and still copy Jimi Hendrix, Being a contemporary player to SRV when I first heard him I felt that he was like a breath of fresh air amongst all the tappers and hyper players. The truth is there is nothing like a player who has both tone feeling and technical ability. I am sure if anybody asked SRV, he would have been a fan of Peter Green too. melandvinnie and doodyhead |

I later found the source of the passion, it all fits together. SRV is if Jimi Hendrix, and Peter Green had a baby. There is no Clapton in SRV, he's a phony. |
