Talking Your dream On With The Show setlist

Hi everyone,
I like the set list for this tour. I know they feel compelled to play the hits. If you could hire Fleetwood Mac for a private show what 25 songs would you have them play this tour. 25 songs only.
Here is my dream set list:

Chain
You make loving fun
Straight back
Why
Storms
Crystal
Love in store
Everybody finds out
Brown eyes
Spare me a little
Tango in the night
Just crazy love
Silver springs
Everywhere
Second hand news
Oh Daddy
Landslide
Wish you were here
Go your own way
Isn't it midnight
Nights in Estoril
Over and over
Beautiful child
Save me a place
Don't Stop

I had never heard of "Nights in Estoril." Good GRIEF, that's a beautiful song...and Christine's voice! Does Lindsey sing on it?

No, .... Nights in Estoril is from 1995's Time album that sold about 500 copies. Estoril is a city in Portugal and is a rocking love song obviously about Chris's Portuguese husband Eddy Quintela. No Lindsey does not sing on it. This was the time that Stevie and Lindsey left and Chris was no longer touring with the band but agreed to record with them.

Here is the song. It would be a killer live. Romantic but rocking.

Well, I was thinking about how the setlist could be improved, since that is fun for me. Maybe a part of me wishes I was part of the band's management and could make suggestions. I think Over My Head is fine, but really should move to much earlier in the set. Toward the end, it takes out a lot of the momentum. It's probably too late now, but they could have spoken before Over My Head and said they wanted to take us through their albums together. Over My Head was the first single--thus, that would mark the beginning of this musical journey, starting with the White Album. This is what I came up with...maybe it would change up the pacing for the better? For my own dream setlist, it would be quite different than this, which is just playing around with what they already have.

Chain
You Make Loving Fun
Dreams
Second Hand News
--
Over My Head
Rhiannon
I'm So Afraid (Solo)
Say You Love Me
--
Tusk
Beautiful Child (subbing for Sisters of the Moon)
Think About Me (they need a song like this...like Little Lies...that's upbeat and gets the three of them singing and feeding off each other)
What Makes You Think You're the One (or gruff gruff I Know I'm Not Wrong)
--
Gypsy
Hold Me (again, this song is needed. It features all three voices...and I think Little Lies is really turning into one of the best songs of this tour, which really gives energy to the show)
--
Big Love
Everywhere
Seven Wonders
Little Lies
Gold Dust Woman
Don't Stop
Go Your Own Way
--
World Turning
Blue Letter
Landslide
--
Songbird

This would be mine too, but instead of Beautiful Child it would be Sara, instead of Think About Me it would be Brown Eyes or Over and Over and instead of What Makes You Think You're The One, it would be Not That Funny, closer to how they did it in 1979-1980 where Christine's piano has a more prominent role.

I think that set above would do very well with presenting the catalogue of the Nicks-McVie-Buckingham era of FM in a very logical and meaningful way.

I also wonder what ever happened with Brown Eyes. Christine told Darren Haynes it would be included. Very strange it was never rehearsed...or maybe that's just what Mick said?

I would have made the following changes to the setlist.

The Chain The Chain
You Make Loving Fun You Make Loving Fun
Dreams Dreams
Second Hand News Bleed to Love Her
Rhiannon Seven Wonders
Everywhere Hold Me
I Know I'm Not Wrong I Know I'm Not Wrong
Tusk Second Hand News
Sisters of the Moon Sisters of the Moon
Say You Love Me Say You Love Me
Seven Wonders Rhiannon
Big Love Never Going Back Again
Landslide Over My Head
Never Going Back Again Gypsy
Over My Head Little Lies
Gypsy I'm So Afraid
Little Lies Don't Stop
Gold Dust Woman Gold Dust Woman
I'm So Afraid Go Your Own Way
Go Your Own Way

Encore

World Turning World Turning
Don't Stop Say Goodbye
Silver Springs Landslide
Songbird Silver Springs
Songbird

I liked their selection being about the 3 part harmony. I just don't find Tusk that great without the USC marching band. Big Love is boring to me. I used Say Goodbye and Bleed to Love Her instead.

I don't like Everywhere - and replaced it with Hold Me, which is stellar.

And I know it slows down the encore a bit. I don't think Don't Stop should be encore. And I think Landslide is one of their most popular and it should be in the encore.

Anyway - I am flexible with moving songs around but other than 3 songs, I loved the set list for this tour.

The crowd response for the two shows I have seen should solidify no setlist changes. Unless someone decides they can't sing/play something, this is it kids.

i can't wait to experience Tusk in person with Christine and her harmonica upfront! and you'd take away Tusk now that she's back??

i love Bleed to Love Her and it does have some very intricate guitar parts, although nowhere near Big Love. it's definitely more suitable than some other suggestions who want to replace Big Love with Crystal or some such nonsensical change, but if you want to replace it with equivalent piece showcasing LB's incredible guitar skills, there is probably only one song that can come somewhat close to it:

https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=756226837772359

(a part of the whole soundcheck video here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQjTJeaIQTo )

Don't Stop is huge (thanks to Clinton!), and more so than Landslide, although yeah Landslide and GYOW are getting close. so i'm not really sure how your logic about popularity and encores works.

Thank you for the Red Rover video! That was something else...lovely!

I'd also have them doing medleys but they don't seem to like that:
Lindsey Tusk Medley: What Makes You Think You're the One/Walk a Thin Line/The Ledge

Tribute to Fleetwood Mac: Albatross/Black Magic Woman/Oh Well

They need more songs where they're singing together: Think About Me, Angel, Crystal, I Don't Want to Know, Hold Me, etc.

I'd like to hear "Crystal" played live one day. Christine playing a few of her early Mac songs would be cool too. I wonder if she doesn't think those songs are ones to be proud of? I know she's dissed the work she did on the Legendary Christine Perfect Album. When the new album comes out there's even a lesser chance of hearing some of the deep cuts. I'm really just happy they are playing together at all though.

I'm still going with a 28 song setlist. Of all the recent Fleetwood Mac tours, "On With The Show" certainly warrants a 3 hour show - many other major rock groups do this (it's really only a few more songs, anyways)...

01. The Chain
02. You Make Loving Fun
03. Dreams
04. Second Hand News
05. Rhiannon
06. Think About Me
07. I Know I'm Not Wrong
08. Tusk
09. Sara
10. Say You Love Me
11. Seven Wonders
12. Don't Let Me Down Again
13. Big Love
14. Landslide
15. Why / Over My Head [Alternating song choice]
16. Gypsy
17. Hold Me
18. Eyes Of The World
19. Tango In The Night
20. Everywhere
21. Little Lies
22. Gold Dust Woman
23. I'm So Afraid
24. Go Your Own Way

25. World Turning
26. Don't Stop
27. Silver Springs

28. Songbird
