You've got Chris and John sitting on an amp together, having full on conversations with each other because somebody in the band insists on telling a 10+ minute story before a song starts. Lindsey is standing in the dark waiting or interacting with fans in the front. Literally the entire band is so over it, almost none of them have any interest in attempting to be polite. As the band member holding court for ten minutes you would think that they would be able to read the room and figure out nobody is enjoying this. Then you have the gall to get irritated (at times) if everyone on stage isn't intently listening to your story time when it's show #53 of a tour. It's mind boggling.

Your scenario is what you see from the audience but what was really going on was Chris and John sitting on the amp for ten minutes discussing how their finances would be so much less without Stevie in the band. You saw Lindsey conversing at the edge of the stage explaining to elle why he can't sing Walk A Thin Line and Mick thinking of how lucky he is that he's not performing to the crowd at his Maui restaurant. So all 4 of those people should have been counting their lucky stars that Stevie was still interested in doing another FM tour. I loved her stories and so did thousands of others. Our precious Christine is gone and John is most likely happily retired but Lindsey and Mick are going to continue to wish FM was still a happening touring band and I'd bet my bottom dollar they would both take that and 30 minute Stevie speeches if they could, just one more time collect that giant paycheck and perform in front of 20K people every night, over & over.

I'd say that less than 5% of the audience wants to hear her long, boring stories. Not because it's her... no one wants to hear long drawn out blathering stories. They're there for the music. She needs to get over her own legend. STFU, Stevie.
