Default Lindsey SMiLE-ing

Just a note that several people on Brian Wilson's site mention having seen Lindsey at the Nov. 3 tour stop in L.A. for Brian's SMiLe tour.

Nope, I didn't see anything like that. Just that they were happy to spot him in the audience enjoying the show.

One person reported seeing Mick in the audience at one of the California shows too, but I'm not sure if it was the same one Lindsey went to.

Exclamation Cool

Well, you know, I would have squealed like a 12 year old and then, tried to get up the gall to go up and say hello to Lindsey.

That's cool that people noticed/spotted him!

Default Speaking of "SMiLe"

EVERY Lindsey fan should hear "Smile"...you'll hear many bits & pieces of sounds that obviously Lindsey freely "borrowed" for his solo albums or Fleetwood Mac albums.

I see what you mean, ChiliD. Let's just hope he's not THAT re-inspired by Smile that he re-defines his whole soloproject all over again -sigh-.

As is, Smile is one awesome piece of music. Whether it "out-Peppers" the Beatles' Sgt Pepper or if it is worthy of the "greatest album of all-time" tage as it was originally pre-deemed back in 1966, is highly debatable.

After all, how has Brian's vision of Smile been tainted or altered in the 37 years between the original project and this one? What sounds has he heard in his head between then & now did he incorporate into it?

Listen to "Song For Children"/"Child Is Father Of The Man" and then Paul McCartney's "Once Upon A Long Ago"...who "borrowed" from whom? Since Brian only "heard in mono" back when Smile was originally recorded, would these stereo mixes come to fruition in 1967?

Even though there are MANY questions, Smile IS one fantastic album, nonetheless.
