I didn't realize he recited The Sardonic World during the Dance tour. He goes too fast here though.

Well, it is on The Dance DVD. That's the first time I ever heard the acoustic version myself.

Thanks for the info. I don't own the Dance dvd, nor do I want to. But by ignoring this tour in general I just thought he didn't start playing the song live until last year on his solo tour.
Also thank you for posting the Eva cassidy video in the other thread.

Did you ever hear the 1992-93 solo performances for OUT OF THE CRADLE? He opened those shows with the solo guitar & voice arrangements of both BIG LOVE & GO INSANE.

And he did it for his AHI appearances. With Sardonic World.

The situation is a perfect example of Lindsey's view that the Fleetwood Mac setting gets the attention.

He played the exact same arrangements of Big Love & Go Insane -- & even read his poem beforehand -- on his earlier solo tour. But it wasn't until he repeated the act on Fleetwood Mac's reunion tour that huge numbers of eyes popped out over his skills & he got dozens of glowing analyses in the guitar magazines.

Fleetwood Mac increased his visibility a hundred fold, just as he always said it did.

During his "poem" I had to change (flip over) the micro cassette I was using
to record the show in Orlando in '97. Not by choice mind you, it had just run
out of tape at that particular moment. It could have been worse, what if I'd
have run out of tape when the band was doing Elvis' "Suspicious Minds"?

As much as I admire you and wholeheartily appreciate all the rarities you post, audio and video-wise, you still have the uniqe ability of making me feel incredibly stupid.

How do I do that? I think you misunderstood a phrase I used -- "this situation."
I was referring to the situation of Lindsey getting all the accolades in 1997 for work he had done exactly the same in 1992. I wasn't referring to the situation of this thread or your posts.

Did you see all the dozens of cover profiles he got in 1997 & 1998 in the guitar magazines like Guitar Player? Did you see all the "Learn How to Play Like Lindsey Buckingham" articles in those magazines? all the guitar transcriptions published that year? There were dozens. . . .

I am pretty sure that the dance version is also a bside to one of the singles? I love this version, actually...not better than his original, but I do love it...it was awesome to see live....
