I'm very riddled about all of this. I can't see any of the band members requesting such things for personally satisfaction. I'm guessing it has something to do with publicity or the band's well being. With all do respect; I think us fans are just really digging too far into this. Or maybe theres been some misunderstanding or misinformation. I'm not a man myself, but I really couldn't see Lindsey going through all of that just to see a few young woman in front of him for 3 hours. Idk, that's just from my point of view. Not to mention, you'd think if this was happening or at least frequently happening, there would be at least one complaint?

That's what this whole thread is.

bald guy with tattoos? he is with the band. venue security is his job description with the band, in FM live 2013 tourbook. sounds like you were towards the back of that large group that was marched down the middle through Lindsey's aisle.

frankly, i think it's great when fans figure out the way to get upfront, with whatever means they have and are willing to use - whether it's money, boobies, or whatever.

but when tons of young girls are brought upfront in GA venues, like Dublin and Amsterdam, and put in front of the people who were waiting all day, that really irks me. in that case money was not the issue, i think those GA floor tickets were the cheapest.

also, 9 girls to have some young energetic people in front of the stage, especially if they are big fans - why not? but not 50+. that's like the whole length of the stage, several times. it seems to have gotten completely out of control.

Did I comment on this? Too lazy to look. When I saw them last summer and was STANDING AT LINDSEY'S FEET, the girl next to me said that she'd been picked from her seat by security to stand there. She said she felt badly for leaving her mother (ha!) behind. And she was definitely a Stevie fan.

I'm joining in on this thread a little late, so if this has already been answered, just ignore this post, but if Lindsey isn't requesting that they be brought to the front, and if the show isn't being filmed for a DVD, what is the point of it?

I would be majorly pissed off if I got there early and stood the whole time and then someone was brought in to stand in front of me.

If you get there, you can keep your place. I mean, the people in the first rows have a chance to get up there first and then they bring other people up later. They don't make the people who were there first move. But I see your point, because just the fact that they are bringing up people crowds the stage area and leads to pushing, drunken encounters, etc. If they just limited the stage area to the people who had tickets in the front rows that would be fair and great.

see, a really good friend of mine who was at Dublin show said that is what actually happened. he and two girls where among the first to make it inside the venue, after being first in GA line, and took the place at Lindsey's mic. then someone from security came and said they have some VIPs they need to bring there and asked them to move a bit.

i completely trust my friend who told me this. he had no reason to make that up.

Elle, doesn't that piss you off? You're such a great LB fan. If I paid good money to be at the stage and "VIPs" got there only by the shenanigans of security, and no doubt, LB, I'd be angry. He is screwing his most loyal fans to sell a falsehood among the youngsters. CAH let it slip how much the band thinks of their fans. Nobody should be surprised.

i'm just putting out some facts. and reading other people's thoughts with interest.

considering i always managed to get to the stage, when i wanted to, and was probably annoying to some people around me too, i can't really complain.

if this originates from LB himself, as it is looking more and more, it would paint him as a poor insecure sod in a severe need of both eye candy and ego stroking while on stage, while also wanting energetic audience to feed off of, which all may be human but some of it kinda sad at his career stage . on the other hand everybody on his side of the stage is always very happy with his audience interactions. it is thrilling to have a performer at that level of the arena show interact with the audience and give people personal attention. many of the girls brought up end up being lifelong fans posting in the process on various social media that he's nicest and hottest man that ever walked the earth.

but you can draw your own conclusions.

The only time I thought that was going to happen was in London, when Christine was about to come out. The guard was making people move, but he wasn't replacing them with anyone (of course, it was pretty late into the show by that time anyway). He stood there himself. But I was right at the stage and he didn't move me. He did move people in back of me, so he could be closer to the stage. Not sure why he just came down to the floor to guard Christine though. I don't know why they'd think anyone was going to rush the stage.

But anyway, I was on the other side of the stage from what you guys are talking about.

so you think it's for social media exposure?

must be. we all know LB (or his people in charge of that) is a social media and PR wizzard.

even with FM, in Vegas, nobody knew they were in town. banner lights on MGM were mostly showcasing David Copperfield and Cher . my husband was in a casino across the street while i was at FM show and started talking to some people who were shocked to hear that FM is in town and said they loved LB and would definitely be at the show if they knew.

all "now happening in vegas" magazines barely had some miniature add for their show that even i could barely see, when really searching for it, while everybody else had half page displays. guess they didn't wanna pay for those? so yeah, definitely extremely good with PR.

No, i meant from those who were in the front row? Why haven't they spoke up until now? I know a few friends who were at the Birmingham show, front row and said they saw nothing of this nature
