Annie, that was a really cool story you told about Chloe. Is Chloe the same dog you posted last week piggyback riding on your kids?

I took the hydrocodone and I stopped feeling the pressure in my mouth (uncomfortable!!!) so I'm happy now.

Thanks viv

Sounds like me when I got my wisdom teeth out a few years ago. When I got home, I pretty much crashed.

Do what I did: subsist on oatmeal, mac and cheese, and ice cream.

Don't be, I plan on making a poll over at the Rumours board with questions that'll make you laugh.

I hard a hard time with the pain pills after i had my wisdom teeth out. I found out the hard way that I can't tolerate codeine. If you find that you can't stomach it, have the dr. prescribe you something else. There's nothing worse than having a mouth full of gauze, being in pain and not being able to keep anything down.

Good luck and feel better.

I have a choice between the hydrocodone and ibuprofen...the hydro is making me feel sick but it's keeping my mouth from hurting =[
I'll take the ibuprofen tomorrow and start the whole salt water and anti-biotics thing..
no school for me (my mood took a dip I don't feel like doing a damn thing)

Naw, that dog is my foster parents' Boston Terrier named Princess. I haven't got any pictures of Chloe. Will rectify that, though. Chloe is part black Lab, part Chow.

I keep telling her I am going to change her name to Spaghetti, though.

I had mine pulled spring break of my senior year of HS. While my friends were off on a cruise, i was getting home sick in bed. I got a new comforter out of it though.

To this day, 17 years later, I tell every doctor that I'm allergic to codeine. I don't think i'll ever have a codeine addiction, let's put it that way.

Hope you are on the mend soon. I can't remember much about what I ate or drank, but i do remember washing my mouth with salt-water through a syringe contraption. And I do remember no straws for a week or two.

I'm so happy I had it done while I was still on my parents insurance and that I was still in HS. I had friends who had it done 5, 10, 15 years after me and from what I remember hearing the experience was much worse (and expensive!)

I was supposed to get my wisdom's pulled at age 18 but didn't because I feared for my life with all the horror stories others had shared. I put it off for 15 years and once or twice a year for a few days they'd hurt like hell. 800 ml. Ibiprophen would relieve the pain. Finally in 1994 my dentist said they had to be removed and he knew how afraid I would be so he introduced me to valium. I was instructed to take six over a four hour period and then be driven to the appointment. By the time I arrived at the office I didn't feel a ****ing thing. I remember giggling thru the procedure. After that I was driven home by my friend and the high was incredible! I went to sleep for 4 hours, woke up, felt NO PAIN and had pot roast for dinner. I was a cigarette smoker in those days. I was told not to smoke for 48 hours but as any smoker will tell you; that's impossible. I was never in any pain from the sugery. However, because I smoked right away, mary jane too, I created an air pocket below one of my gums and that had to be dealt with another time, but I don't remember how.

Moral of the story: Don't fear the reaper. Getting your wisdom's out may be no big deal at all.

And Don't Forget To Ask For VALIUM!!!!
