Thank You so Much... Eva Cassidy's cover of "Songbird" was my choice too... Sooooooo Beautiful... ;-)

I just found this cover of That's Alright.
Kinda what it'd sound like if Patsy Cline could've covered it. |

Some channel (TV ONE, I think) has a musician biography series called Unsung, which is really good. The subjects are usually lesser-known black artists and groups. Anyways, I just watched one on Melbe Moore, which led me to do some searching where I found that she covered "Dreams" on a 1985 album. I really want to hear it!

Here are three covers of "That's Alright", I absolutely love this song lately for some reason. I like the first one the best, the other two sound generic to me.

I likes the second one best, hehehe...
It's really quiet at first though. But when she belts it at 2:49 it totally makes the cover. I definitely overlooked this song at first, but it's my fave on the album now. |

Me too haha, I'll admit that skipped it for a long time, but Mirage is slowly becoming one of my favorites

Welcome to The Ledge! I love Nickel Creek's cover of I Want You back. Like Toxic though,. I just wish there was a better quality version than the ones on youtube so that I could have it in my collection! Do you know of one?

Ann Wilson would kick some serious ass doing the "angry" version of Smile At You

It's true that I think this band can do little/no wrong, but I love Steel Train's cover of "Tusk". Doesn't vary too heavily from the original but has a nice ST stamp on it. Love the drums and Jack Antonoff's take on the vocals doesn't disappoint.
Not the best video quality but the audio is alright. They officially released the cover on their Live from Bonnaroo album too. Last edited by bucklind17; 01-11-2010 at 09:51 PM.. |

Just got around to checking this out. I tend to really like the 3rd one the best. I like her voice and the arrangement better.
