The Brunning stuff with Green on "Jumping at Shadows"
Who is playing piano on the Brunning stuff on this release? Is it Bob Hall?
I don't know if you piano players notice it, but Bob Hall has exactly the same touch as Christine, exactly the same fill habits, & uses just about exactly the same licks that she does -- or did. He even holds back in the same places! It's absolutely uncanny how alike the two of them are. Did one influence the other? It goes beyond "influence," to my ears. It's in the realm of one sitting on the other's lap. |
