Okay, I'll bite:
1. Bermuda Triangle This live-bootleg? is everything
2. Bare Trees
3. Fleetwood MAc (1975)
4. Behind the Mask (I know, I know, but I just love that album)
5. Tusk

I would rate Rumours, but I heard it so often, it's more or less white noise nowadays.

Default Yes

3. Tusk (high on the list because of Stevie and Christine, Lindsey runs out of steam with 9 "experimental" tracks and could've stopped @ 5 or 6 with a little more work on the songs themselves and a little longer playing times)

/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\THIS...Yes.../\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\/\

Sometimes too much is way too much. But I'd still put Tusk pretty high in a top five. Over and Over and Sara make up for so much.

At first thought the 1975 Fleetwood Mac album was not on my short list. Its probably my least played Mac album these days. But after some thought I definitely included the album in my top 5. I don't know why but so much magic of this album is forgotten or over looked. This album is so magical for many reasons.

1. The album is the perfect merging of 1974 Fleetwood Mac and 1973 Buckingham Nicks. We get songs like Sugar Daddy and Warm Ways that could have easily made the cut for Heroes are hard to find. We get songs like Crystal that are so Buckingham Nicks.

2. The album contains FM and Stevie Nicks staples. Songs like Rhiannon and Landslide are probably 2 of Stevie's biggest songs and are usually in EVERY live set she does even today. Songs like Say You Love Me is also a Fleetwood Mac staple they love doing live.

3. The singles. 3 hit singles in the USA. Warm Ways was actually the first single released in England. Over My Head made it to #20 and was the Mac's first big hit. I remember and interview with Lindsey once and he talked about this album...he said "OMG, Fleetwood Mac WITH HITS!!!" Rhiannon and Say you love me made it to #11. I love the radio single versions of these songs. Usually the radio singles are shortened and stripped. But not these gems. The radio singles contain all kinds of Lindsey guitar licks. The guitar licks added to Say You Love Me are so awesome!

4. The band comes alive. Its a match made in heaven with harmonies on Say You Love Me and singing together on songs like World Turning.

5. The writing. I think Stevie has said many times that it was a magical spell that came over her writing 2 of her biggest songs in Colorado almost at the same time. Every song on the album is a great song. There is not filler or padding. The album did not hit number 1 until almost a year after its release. To have 3 hit songs from an album was a HUGE achievement in 1975. I wonder why Warner Brothers stopped releasing singles after 3 hit songs.

So these reasons are why I needed to include this album in my all time top 5.

I have that Bermuda Triangle recording and it's amazing.

You're welcome. Great list you have there, by the way. I know it can be quite difficult to choose your favortie Mac albums, especially just 5.

Not a typo. It was the greatest album ever, IMO, but also the album that killed creativity within the band (what 39yo teat are they still milking?).

And we still don't have a new album, yet they'll still milk another Tumours cash grab tour....
