I don't like the end though, because you know he's died... Last edited by Silver Springs; 10-03-2010 at 06:55 AM.. |

Don't know how I'd get through life without Jennifer. |

Looks like Lindsey finally got those Sandwhiched LOL! John actually fell asleep! It surprises me that he's never done this before, as he looks lethargic when he plays alot of the time. Bless lol.
Probably only really understood by the British hehe. |

^^ButterCookie, that Dawn French clip is so good, as well as hilarious- I love when 'Christine' plays with her hair, and later falls down behind her keyboard, that is priceless. Also like the spliced-in usage of Mick Fleetwood, and the song itself is clever! "Dream Woman"--- I'd like for Dawn to do a longer version, even! It occurs to me that 'Christine' may actually be Jennifer Saunders, if so, I totally didn't recognize her. Need to watch it again!
Any idea of the year Ms. French did this? Don't go to too much effort trying to find out if you don't know, posting the clip was plenty. I hope lots of Ledgies see it, I think it will be very well liked! Edit: Yup, that's a young Jennifer Saunders doing Christine brilliant, exaggerated comedic justice, I should have known. Ms. Saunders 'falls' so beautifully, it's like a patent she has on it! Last edited by Nikolaj; 10-06-2010 at 10:05 AM.. |

Thanks, ButterCookie. I've now watched it 3 times, and knew at first glance on 2nd viewing that it was Jennifer- she was young here, I'd guess it could be no later than 1985 when this parody was done. Like I wrote in my edit above, nobody takes a fall funnier than Jennifer Saunders (Joanna Lumley possibly excluded, love her!)-- but I think Jennifer Saunders has made it a trademark of sorts, the high priestess of the pratfall and of all falling down. Gosh, I love her Christine as much or more than Dawn's Stevie. Great clip. Maybe you should also put it in The Rumours forum, it deserves mass viewing, it's that good. Not all Ledgies visit 'Chit Chat'- and again, it's not like I mean to make 'more work' for you, I really enjoyed it and appreciate that you shared it. Thanks! |

I'm glad it made you smile! I love French and Saunders more than any other comedy duo (Including Ab Fab, with it being written by both women) I think there's an FM video thread over there so I'll pop it in EDIT: ooooohhh!! I found the full version! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GQg4a...eature=related Last edited by ButterCookie; 10-06-2010 at 10:58 AM.. |

Powerful speach from an actor whom I consider to be highly underused and underrated. I would buy any Audio book he or Alan Rickman narrated just to hear their voices |
