Weird! You could say I became a fan on November 17, 2009. The reason I know the exact day is because I had marked the date I was moving on an old calendar that I found a few days ago. Anyway, it's the same day I heard my first FM album, Rumours. I bought it and a few other CDs on a whim to have something to listen on the 17 hour drive. Aside from a few radio-breaks, Rumours ended up staying in the CD player the whole time.

Ah, ok, thanks. I'm bad with acronyms. What's supposed to be so bad about it?

Didn't mean to offend anyone with the Lizard People comment!
I just don't like it. I've lurked around these boards for a while and see a lot of people don't like Silver Girl. It's not my favorite either but I would much rather hear it than Lizard People. But to each his own! There are a lot of weird songs I am in love with, LP just happens to not be one of them! Fiver, go listen to it and give us your opinion! It's on Youtube, thats how I first heard it! |

Age Range: In my 20's
Gender: Male When you became a fan: 2003 How you became a fan: Noticed "Rumours" was on sale and decided to see what it was like. First 3 FM songs: Dreams, Albatross , Little Lies (I knew of these before becoming a fan) First FM vocalist: Stevie Nicks Favorite FM Time Period: '75-Tusk Vocalist breakdown by percentage: Stevie 50% Lindsey 25% Christine 25% Concerts you've attended: "Say You Will" in 2003 and "Unleased" in 2009. FM stuff you own: My most treasured item is a signed vinyl copy of "Rumours" by all five members. Albums, some singles, CDs, vinyl, tour programs, bootlegs, vintage advertisments, etc. Favorite thing about FM: The fact that there's been so many different songwriters in the bands history. It really keeps things fresh and different with so much to explore and choose from. Least favorite thing about FM: They don't tour often enough. Are you the same fan your where when you started: I still love them as much as I did when I first got into them. I guess songs that I didn't really listen to before are now amongst my favourites, i/e "Isn't It Midnight" and "I Know I'm Not Wrong." Your all time "dream" lineup that won't ever happen: The classic "Rumours" lineup and maybe even have Peter Green join them for a few songs. You wish for the future of the Mac: For the classic "Rumours" line up to tour once more. |

So I listened to Lizard People... very strange but I dunno... I was kinda feelin' it.
I'm extremely jealous! How'd you swing that, if you don't mind me asking? |

I'm curious as to why people like it so much. I just don't see it...or, I guess in this case, "hear" it! |

For me, it's like Ricky. Trippy as, minorly hilarious and probably makes complete sense when you're as high as they were.

It's like Mick, 'very strange but strangely logical'. I loved his dramatic reading.
Also, it reminds me of the original V miniseries. Last edited by Fiver; 04-18-2011 at 09:36 AM.. |
