Default Anatomy of a Setlist

Breaking it down through the years with as much information as I could find, here are the setlists per tour since 1975 (with the exception of The Time Tour which did not include Christine, Stevie or Lindsey).
Note: Some songs may not have been performed consistently and are marked where known.
Songs are listed in alphabetical order.

WHITE TOUR 1975-1976

The White Album Tour changed a lot - the early hits played in the beginning of the tour began to drop off and be replaced with current singles or songs from the White Album as audiences grew more familiar with the new lineup.

Song appearance summary:

Go Your Own Way and Rhiannon are the only songs played in every tour since the White Album Tour.
Go Your Own Way is the only song played in every tour & every set since Rumours Tour.
Dreams, The Chain and Don't Stop are the only songs in every tour since the Rumours Tour.

Go Your Own Way, Landslide, I'm So Afraid and Rhiannon have been in every setlist with Stevie & Lindsey.

Don't Let Me Down Again and Frozen Love are the only Buckingham Nicks songs that have been played in Fleetwood Mac sets. Frozen Love was only played in 1975. Don't Let Me Down Again was played for the first time (with Stevie & Lindsey) since 1975 at one show only in 2004, it was also performed in 1987 sans Lindsey.

Unleashed comparison:
Six songs from the White Album.
Seven songs from Rumours.
Four songs from Tusk.
One song from Tango and one from Mirage.
Two solo songs (one LB, one SN).
One classic Fleetwood Mac song (pre-BN).
Total set consisted of 23 songs.

Out of the 22 songs played during the Rumours tour, Fleetwood Mac performed 13 songs during the Unleashed tour, not including songs by Christine (with the exception of Say You Love Me & Don't Stop) and the old Fleetwood Mac songs that dropped out of the 1977 set after the popularity of Rumours.

No, Don't Let Me Down Again was sometimes played in 1987 without Lindsey.

Very comprehensive compilation. Good reference point.

This was really informative. Thanks for compiling it and sharing.

The more I think about it, the more I think they should replace Stand Back with something like Seven Wonders. Tango is always underrepresented and I think that's a "fun" enough song that they could get away with the swap.

i LOVE Seven Wonders, but it could NEVER replace Standback. It's just not as ubiquitous to casual fans... put it in place of Gypsy, which is a bit leaden in the live version.

But Stand Back isn't even a Fleetwood Mac song. I just don't see why it has to be in the set, honestly.

very nice CAD!!

had no clue they performed GYOW on every tour since 1975, even when LB was not there.

so we have these songs with highest number of tours (not counting CM songs other than Don't Stop, and not counting tours where current 4 were not all present) -

GYOW - 7x
Landslide - 7x
Rhiannon - 7x
ISA - 7x

SHN - 6x
Don’t Stop - 6x
Dreams - 6x
The Chain - 6x

Tusk - 5x (every tour since Tusk)
NGBA - 5x
World Turning - 5x
Oh Well - 5x

Blue Letter - 4x
GDW - 4x
Gypsy - 4x (every tour since Mirage)
Sara - 4x

Big Love - 3x (every tour since the dance)
Silver Springs - 3x (every tour since the dance)

Eyes - 3x
IKINW - 3x
Monday Morning - 3x
NTF - 3x

bolded are all songs that i can give them as must do, some of them selected b/c they were late arrivals (Tusk was on every tour since Tusk and Gypsy every tour since Mirage; SS and BL really arrived with The Dance tour) and that's why their numbers are not as large. songs that are not bolded above cannot be counted as regulars in this list since they were not on every tour since they were first introduced.

i am not counting solo songs - they are not FM songs and therefore by definition they cannot be regulars.

so i guess we have 12 must-do songs. if i had my way, i'd replace Gypsy with GDW.

yup. no reason to play a song not written by a band member. no Seven Wonders and no Blue Letter. there are other much better songs, that are written by SN.

Rhiannon was on the 87 tour, performed at least as many times as Gypsy... weren't they dropped at the same time?

If Big Love stays it must be done differently! Lindsey's been doing it basically the same way since the early 80s .......zzzzz

Lindsey recalled that his BTM appearances were a very positive experience for him because he only had to come in and do one song (actually, he didn't just do GYOW, but I guess he forgot about that) and he'd performed GYOW so many times in the past that he was confident he could do it better than anyone else they had . He said he opted not to watch the concert though. He said he chose not to see FM without him, although he said he didn't know why.

Interesting list!
Running Through The Garden was performed once during the Say You Will tour.

Thanks for the info. I thought that was strange, but they apparently didn't do it at every show.
