^^ I'm really starting to think that Rick Turner has seen more action than any of the women in Lindsey's life

I remember Candace Bergen saying that she saw her father's dummy (father was a famous ventriloquist) as a rival sometimes and I imagine Stevie felt that same way about Lindsey's guitar on occasion. That's why I love the line in Italian Summer when he "put down that guitar," and gave her a rose. It reminded me of Lindsey and Lindsey's guitar.
And when you call someone or something a "that" (like Bill Clinton saying he never had sex with THAT woman), you seem to be expressing disdain for it and it's amusing. It's like, "oh my goodness. We were there on vacation for two weeks and he finally put down that &X?!ing guitar and gave me a rose." I love the video of the band doing interviews to promote The Dance ahead of time and someone suggests that maybe they pose with their instruments and Lindsey like runs to get his guitar. You didn't have to ask him twice. I also like the old tour footage from the seventies when Lindsey is talking to Richard and others and he keeps playing the guitar through their entire conversation. I would have just reached out and bashed him with the guitar. If you think someone talking to you while fiddling with their cell phone is annoying today, imagine Lindsey talking to you about how your day went, all while continuing to play the guitar back in 1977. That bit of the Dance promotion is so great - I watch those videos regularly on Youtube I think I'd prefer Lindsey circa 1977 to be fiddling with his guitar whilst talking to me versus someone looking at FB or text messages on their cell, but I can definitely see how it would eventually become tiresome...maybe
