Question Photo Request

Does anyone have any of the promo photos that FM did when Schlitz sponsored the Mirage tour? A friend refuses to believe me that Schlitz was involved. Thanks!

Voila!

I should add these pop up on ebay all time so if you friend tries to tell you this is a fake, just have them check again tomorrrow, they'll probably be twenty new ones. This is easily the most common of the vintage posters.

There's a deeper FM Schlitz involvement than Mirage. My favorite pic ever is in Mick's "coffee table" book- the pic of him and Jeremy, side by side. Mick's got a can of Schlitz held down by his side, apparently trying to hide it from the camera.

That pic is hi.lar.i.ous!

I've seen pics of that poster 100 times, but how did I miss Christine in that almost-bigger-than-her-face Schlitz trucker hat? And the cans of beer? And the look on Stevie's face? And John and Lindsey both have their fingers in their mouth.

But oh the horror - I actually remember the ad blitz for all the light beers when they were "new".

Here's a larger version of that picture. This is from some Mirage bootleg artwork.

Hah! Only Christine can get away with that... that's priceless.

I know! Why do I get the feeling Stevie was not thrilled with the Schlitz thing?! I can't say that chiffon and Schlitz are a classic combo. (Or are they? )

She'd probably just put it in a champagne flute and say it was Cristal. Maybe that's why one of the later tours was sponsored by wine coolers. (I just looked thru my tour books & can't figure out which one it was... )

I know that every time I have too much Schlitz, I put on chiffon and call myself Stevie.
