Default Why not do something special with Tango in the Night?

We have extended Rumors, Fleetwood Mac, and Tusk albums but nothing for Tango in the Night. Do people realize that this is actually there second biggest world wide hit after Rumours. It only sold 3 million in the United States but exploded around the world. I know Stevie is the weakest songwriter on it, but it's one of the best albums from the 1980s. It deserves a special reissue.

Exactly. This would be a really good worldwide seller. Unfortunately I think the record company thinks that the US is the only place that really matters and therefore reissues stuff based on that demand first.

Tango in the Night was a huge seller around the world including the US (which I think people forget because it didn't reach #1) and so this really should be on their 'to do' list.

I'd love them to revisit Tango In The Night. I'd really be interested in whether Lindsey could give us a stripped back version of the album- rawer and rockier (though I appreciate some of the tracks really do need all the extras to make them work).

a bit like Let It Be Naked- Tango In The Night Naked.

That'd give me the perfect excuse to expertly label the tracks in my iTunes to perfection with such classics as;

Big Naked Love
Seven Naked Wonders
Naked Caroline
Naked Family Man
When I See You Naked Again

That would be fantastic. I would love to hear it sound a bit more raw.

But at the same time I would be very sad if Mirage was overlooked.

there should at least be a standalone Tango remixes album. A lot of non-fans love and appreciate the 12" mixes and dubs that were released at the time. It would be a good seller.

I would LOVE to hear a re-released stripped back version of "Tango In The Night"....take away the 80's gaudy synthesizers and make it sound more timeless. I'm sorry, but although "Tango" contains some good songs, I just can't listen to it...As with MOST music that emerged from the 80's, it just sounds WAY TOO DATED for me.

The great thing about many Fleetwood Mac records like "Rumours" and "Tusk" is that they have a TIMELESS sound that is relevant today. For me, "Tango" is just too much synthesizer and late 80's bull****. I haven't listened to the record straight through in more than 20 years.

I love Tango in the Night song. One of best songs on the album.

I would love to see the Tango video stripped with the FX in its entirety.
It will be the real thing.

I'd love this but my personal opinion is that Tango was the weakest album for me in terms of likeability and creativity. I love both the studio and live version of Big Love, and I love Little Lies but it was seriously lacking a touch of Stevie. It is a great album but I'd rather a special release of Mirage. Much more Mac like. The 80's sound does make it sound dated. Was this the first album without Ken behind the board?
