Charles Manson had cell phone under prison mattress

Charles Manson didn't post to Facebook using a smart phone, but he did make calls using a cell phone from prison.

The infamous convicted murderer had an LG flip phone hidden under his mattress which was found by prison officials. Manson used the phone to make calls and send text messages to people in California, New Jersey, Florida and British Columbia, Terry Thornton, a spokeswoman for the California Department of Corrections, told the Los Angeles Times.

This is the weirdest thing! I would like to know how he snuck the cell phone in...if someone can get a cell phone in, imagine all the scary stuff they could sneak in! Also...the guy who had a Blackberry....where would you stick a Blackberry!??!?! Those things are huge! A freaking Blackberry.

You'd be amazed what criminals can smuggle up their bottoms. Where do you think they hide the chargers?

They have all kinds of smugglers who can get whatever they need into them. It only takes a moment for a guard to be distracted so a visitor can pass something over to them. At least that's the case here. Or he could have smuggled it in (has he ever had any "out" time?) or had somebody throw it over the wall. There's many ways it could have happened.
