If the press says it, doesn't mean it's respectful. The press also said Madonna was too old to do things. I don't agree with that. Chameleon doesn't sound like a respectful or term of endearment. That's why I said reinvent and evolve.

Also, you don't have to be angry because of that. The world won't end because people have critiques of Stevie. You don't have to aggressively respond with your nightstick swinging, Officer.
Not angry, nor am i worried of the Apocalypse because Stevie was criticized. I see nothing sexist about a woman being described as a chameleon.

Your response re "nightstick swinging" seems the default position these days. Accuse the person challenging your opinion of violent intent. So. Sad.

You don't think you could've asked this question "Why even say that??" in a polite way? Like Why do you think that instead?

Also, I didn't say striking with the nightstick, I said swinging which is what officers did while patrolling, they'd swing it by the strap while walking.

My friend reviewed the Stevie video for National Review.

Imagine paying $1000 to hear "Don't Dream It's Over" instead of "Go Your Own Way"

Fleetwood Mac helped me through a time of heartbreak. 12 years later, they broke my heart.

No, it's pretty cringeworthy. No one needs to imagine you in your dressing room with the rug and the dress and the martini when they are getting lost in a song about civil rights and unity and prayer.

It's like when she said she was in lockdown at the Waldorf Astoria during 9/11.

She's at her best when she keeps it abstract. She has said Mick's car was the great dark wing in Sara. "And Mick pulled up to my driveway in his black Italian automobile within the wings of a storm" wouldn't have the same effect.

So I'm back to the velvet underground > Persian rug

I love Stevie's old stuff. This is just... no.

This is really an intelligent review that seems spot-on. Thanks for sharing!

"Show Them the Way and Letter to You are works of self-pity and self-mythologizing, as in Nicks’s unctuous refrain “The dream is not over / The dream has just begun.” These songs and videos are not made by leaders but by celebrities who won’t get out of our way."

Wow, tell us how you really feel.

Also, please tell us how celebrities, citizens, or anyone, for that matter, have stopped them from doing anything they have wanted to do in recent history.

Wow that review! I do really like Springsteen's album its good- especially the early 70's tracks- coincidence? Some good points were made- although the dream reference lyrics are from 1982

It should be noted that the National Review is a pillar of Conservative/Republican politics, and as such inherently hates on anyone who identifies as an Obama supporter/Democrat/liberal. So their sense that Springsteen and Nicks are not Trump supporters and indeed encourage people to vote Biden permeates the entire review.

Stevie's song is still cringeworthy (haven't listened to Springsteen's new album) but the criticisms in this article don't even touch on the music or the piece as a song, but instead bash the perceived and/or stated political positions of the performers.

But you have already admitted that the song itself is an unlistenable dud

And it didn't chart on the Hot 100. AC/DC's new song has 16 million views.

They watch the viewer count on Youtube and crawl out of the woodwork to applaud Stephanie.

You hit that nail right on the head!

$he could eat 50 White Castles and drink a 12 pack of Budweiser, and they'd tell how great her farts smelled. Not joking.
