Default Courtney's new record

Well, folks, I am listening to Courtney Hole's solo thing now on vh1.com. I am on song 5 and it's...looking like a stinking mess.
The production is very 80's pop, and the songs even have pretty good structure, but the lyrics are stupid and the vocals damned near defy description they are so ragged and tuneless. This singing makes any RAL tour vocal sound worthy of the Met.
More after I hear the rest.

Anyone else heard this ? It's free to listen.

That is, if you want to put yourself through it !

Listening to that was like drinking spoiled milk. What a piece of trash. I can sincerely say that I never need to hear one of these songs ever again. The vocals on a few of them were so painful to listen to it was all I could do to not skip them. Dreadful.
It's a shame, as I loved Live Through This and even liked half of Celebrity Skin. This thing is an irredeemable disaster.

I'm supposed to see this character next week at secret show, and I sure hope she doesn't play many of these stinkers.

Yeah, I'm pretty curious about the new Melissa album...I used to be a HUGE fan back in high school (I even accidently pulled her hair at a concert...) But for some reason I really just stopped listening to her until very recently, I have not heard one song off the album that came after Your Little Secret...but after hearing Breathe I am quite curious about her new one

So, it begs the question. Did Kurt write Live Through This?

I couldn't even finish the first song. Courtney isn't a singer and this confirms it.

Were we actually expecting it to be good? I have all of Hole's albums and I like them...I'll admit it...but I really didn't have high hopes for this one.

As far as Kurt writing Live Through This? We'll never know but it's certainly a possibility.

I liked that one single off of "Celebrity Skin." But other than that, I have no regard for her talent. She was, however, good if not great at playing a strung out slut in the Larry Flynt movie, but that was not really acting for her

I actually have liked a lot of Courtney's work with HOLE....But I like you did not have many expecatations with this one...although I have no listened to the whole thing yet.

I do like the song MONO...I doubt I will like much more tho

Im sure Kurt had a hand in "live through this". There is NO way Courtney is THAT talented, IMHO.

I do agree though she played "Larry Flynt" role to a TEE!
