You're kidding... out of respect, maybe? and oh yeah, he's John McVie..

Best wishes, John. Heard they caught it early, which I hope is true and here's hoping he'll have a speedy recovery ♥

I'm really sick and tired of your constant negativity whilst posting on this board, how dare even propose that they continue when John is sick.

seriously do you ever even question why you follow this band?

If Mick continues with the Fleetwood Mac name without John, I will lose a great deal of respect for him. I know that he likes his money, but I don't think that he'll be that greedy and inconsiderate.

This will be a big wake-up call to the band. Something like this hits home in a way all the comings and goings of various band members does not.

Hoping for a speedy recovery for John! His bass is vital to the sound of the band.

I guess I can understand that you might despise 70's John for his drinking and treatment of Christine during that period. As for any other reason, I don't know of any...

For right now, for 2013 he's not supposed to do anything. Once we get into the future those are other days for other decisions.

They cancelled New Zealand and Australia and should cancel Vegas, IMO. Obviously, there's time to get another bassist for Vegas, but I think they shouldn't.

Then, we'll just see the lay of the land towards the end of 2014 and 2015.

Well, there's the anti-Semitic charge too. I'm aware there's controversy in his past, but it's from decades ago.

If John dies(I don't even wanna type that word ) or recovers but can no longer preform or play bass, Mick can start a new band with a different name or do his solo stuff.

Fleetwood Mac without the "Mac" in the band will not be right.

The word "contrarian" comes to mind

Don't forget there may be contractual obligations.

I'm not 100% convinced that Live Nation just said "Oh GOSH that's a shame, well we certainly wish you all the best; don't worry we'll just write off the 50 million dollars we just lost." And God only knows who else expected to be getting a piece of the pie.

Also, don't forget there's dozens of jobs at stake. The roadies, just as one example.

John seems to be the nicest, calmest, and laidback of the band. He seems like the guy that you'd want to hang out with and talk with for several hours. Plus, his humor, is great too.

Ok, barring anything that's related to this current tour. I don't want to "Fleetwood Mac to tour in 2015 with (insert name) on bass instead of John Mcvie" I doubt that Stevie would agree to it anyways. Not too sure about Lindsey.
