Fan Club/Website gets a new *sshole

Well, it looks like they're FINALLY going to do something about our lovely fan club and the Fleetwood Mac website. But is it too late?

FLEETWOODMAC.COM AND FAN CLUB PREPARE FOR EUROPE, AUSTRALIA & 2004!

NEW MANAGEMENT TEAM TO BE ANNOUNCED FOR FAN CLUB AND WEBSITE AND MEMBERSHIPS TO BE EXTENDED!

Who would ever have guessed that 2003 would find Stevie, Lindsey, Mick
and John playing more than 70 shows in North America and then following it
up with dates in Europe and Australia? Well we are assured that there will
be more Fleetwood Mac activity in 2004, so please stay tuned for further
announcements in the very near future. Your Fan Club is committed to
finding new and exciting ways to recognize the importance of your
commitment to Fleetwood Mac and to ensure your satisfaction to the
service we provide. Effective this week the SabreMark team will transfer the
Fleetwood Mac web site and Fan Club to a new management team for the
upcoming season. We want to assure all members that these changes,
which coincide with the end of the 2003 US tour, will not affect current
member privileges. The new management team will continue to provide member benefits and privileges and will look for new ways to provide content and information to the web site and exclusive benefits to the Fan Club. In
recognition of members’ loyalty, it has been decided to EXTEND ALL
MEMBERSHIPS so that all current members may benefit from 2004 Fleetwood
Mac activity. Look for complete details of the extension and Fan Club
transition next week. The period of transition to new management will
likely take a couple of weeks to be fully effective. Hopefully it will
be seamless and will result in some new and fresh ideas. We ask you to
recognize the slight possibility of some small inconvenience during
this transitional period and therefore for your understanding if that is the
case. The commitment of the new management team is to make the web site
and Fan Club the best it can be.

Hate to be negative but this just seems like a political move. JT is probably happy to leave now since he's got all the money he's gonna get from this project by now (since they consider the US market the major one, I wouldn't say that but...) and by getting in new folk, it makes it look like they care about the fans.

I hope by the end of 2004 I can say I'm wrong about this and they will prove they care by doing something and not this "how it looks" stuff on it's own which to me doesn't prove a thing really. JMHO though.

I like the last line in the fanclub email, where it says, the intention of the new management is to have the best fanclub.... lol... as to the old management who were just out to screw you out of money and empty promises.

welcome to the ledge , believe me you will love it here. you can say whats on your mind. over on that board, they tend to think they are so important some of the fan club supporters/as well as the almighty trin, try to come over here and they think they are doing us a service, truth is we find out all the FM news way before they even hear about it. and since the last commotion fall out with the club, trin has not poked his nose back here , since they tried to take credit for lindsey giving members tickets. it blew up in there face.

yeah i know who you mean on that boardd who talks out of both sides of her mouth , i really think that they think they will get something special for there devotion of the fan club,, she/he answers all the posts the same way, i hope the fan club improves but its too bad that the ones who constantly told us to shut up ar e the ones who will benefit as well the ones who yelled an hollared and didnt give up.
