MLD does really rock! I will also say that when I heard Silver Springs in 1977 on a Jukebox I thought WTF, a Bside? This is nuts. It was my favorite song by the band the first time I heard it.

I really loved it the 1st time I heard it, also. I bought the 45 of GYOW and when I put on Silver Springs I was like, where has this song been all my life? why have i never heard this? I'm not a huge stevie fan lol but that song is gorgeous. i actually think i cried the first time I watched the dance and they played that.

I'm not a huge Spring song. I can't stand MLD. Love Sweet Girl. Don't care for Temp. One.

I do like BTLH, but don't care for the SYW version. It sparkles live. Which is usually the opposite for him. Great example of live songs ruined by LB would be NGBA, or Trouble.

I remember watching a truncated version of The Dance live, before the dvd was released. When Silver Springs started I was sure they were going to break into Wish You Were Here. But then Stevie stepped up to the mike and started the verse. I was floored: they were actually doing it, resurrecting the “forgotten classic,” a song I always liked but never loved—until she sang it on The Dance. She transformed a reflective ballad into a stormy epic. When she belted the final chorus and practically swallowed Buckingham’s head, I jumped off the couch and shouted “Yes!”

I was also really into Temporary One. It’s so catchy! Christine belted those verses and appeared more enthusiastic there than elsewhere during the event.

Sweet Girl and Temporary One have grown in my estimation since my initial impressions. (Bleed and Demon have never done much for me, live or studio.) I think what I grew to appreciate in both of them is Chris, who was so missing after The Dance. Those harmonies in Sweet Girl... <3

Definitely those harmonies. They are so unique. Christine’s high harmony is aching, baleful. And the way her voice blends with the other two, whose voices by then had deepened. Amazing stuff.

“Twisted”, “Maybe Love Will Change Your Mind”, or “Destiny” for me.

Twisted is a great suggestion. Give it a filled-out instrumental arrangement like her live solo version and add Chris' harmonies. Would have been magical, and perfect timing.

I have a soft spot for "Temporary One." I thought it was a perfect theme for the occasion. BTLH is also lovely and works much better live.

MLD is not a personal favorite, but I think it works in the set to balance the midtempo songs. "Sweet Girl" isn't her best composition, but it's harmless.
