Really?!

Many scenes were absolutely sickening, but I loved it anyways; I even have it on DVD. Did you notice how every scene/room in the film has a completely different color? The bathroom is completely white, the restaurant red, etc. The scene towards the end with the cook and the wife was utterly captivating.

The color thing was interesting. I just found the whole film montonous and boring. But - to each their own

You must love French films.

Alibrandi - yes a good coming of age film. If ever I see the DVD on sale - I'll be sure to pick you up a copy.

Cheers

I do indeed love French films. I've seen and own a ton

I'm glad to see someone else has heard of the film! Whenever I mention if anyone's ever seen it, no one has a clue as to what i'm talking about. I just found the DVD on e-bay unused for a dollar (it's never on there so i'm surprised) so I bid...hopefully i'll win! Thank you for the offer Rochelle...that's very kind of you

Any of the Dogme 95 stuff from Denmark--including Lars Von Trier's Dancer in the Dark.

Also Krystov Koszlowski's Red, White and Blue trilogy.

Y Tu Mama Tambien. (I don't know how to do accent marks on here and place them in the appropriate places. Y Tu MaMA TAMbien.)

(And your mother too.)

That movie is basically Mexican soft-core pornography, but it's hilarious!!! @@#!@!!

Re: Baz Luhrmann: I actually loved "Romeo + Juliet" I thought it was so fresh and brilliant. But to each his own, I guess.

I laughed at the end of Romeo + Juliet as my friend Nicki sat and cried...I will never forget how emotionally distraught she was. She was bawling hysterically and I was just laughing and in between sobs she's like, "it's.... not.... funny..." so of course I say, "it's not like you didn't know what was coming"...

The best part of that movie? The soundtrack to it.

Yea, my stupid high school friend Jen STOLE IT FROM ME. "oh.. can I borrow that." When people borrow? They usually return it.
