If it's available in a store, buy it there, don't kill one more animal than you have to. If people don't like the additives and effects of store-bought meat, go to a natural food store and buy it there (that's where I used to go when I ate meat). Contrary to popular belief, the meat at stores like Bread and Circus aren't that expensive. So, there is no reason (in my mind) to hunt for any reason.

I agree with you to an extent that going to a health food store may be an option for a person who lives a metropolitan area large enough to have one. The people I was talking about live miles (probably 100's of miles) from such a store and probably could not afford the meat even if their pick up truck (think the Clampetts ) could get there. I know people like this. In those cases I see no problem with raising the animals (cows, chickens, etc.) yourself and then eating them or hunting them in the wild (fowl, fish, etc.).

I am curious - do you not eat fish as well? The reason I ask is many non-meat eaters eat fish. Its like land animals have rights, but fish have no rights I will never get the difference because fish fight when your killing them just like a cow or pig does, but it is made and often

Nope. I go off the rails a few times each months (when General Tso beckons... ), but I don't eat fish at all.
