How boring are The Eagles?

So boring that repeated exposure to their music turned me into a serious Fleetwood Mac fan.

Similar question, why would Bonnie Raitt, who can easily headline her own tour, open for the Rolling Stones...easy answer to both questions...

...M-O-N-E-Y.

(...and, in the Chicks' case, to expand their fan base...they pretty much alienated their basic "country" crowd that made them...and that crowd hasn't, for the most part, forgiven them)

its a great song...just got played out over the years. I never liked it...then years later I really listened to the words and appreciated it. It was also, oddly enough, my grandma's favorite song.

My parents listened to the Eagles quite a bit when I was growing up. I play them occasionally.

Favorite songs:
Best of my Love
Pretty Maids all in a Row
Saturday Night
James Dean
Take it Easy (for nostalgic reasons)

Im with K7 - **** the Eagles. The only song I even remotely like is "Take it to the Limit", and as Chili said, it was written by an ex-member. I like a few of Don's solo tracks, but I can't stand him as a person at all. Never been a big Walsh fan either...

Linda Ronstadt does a fantastic version of "Desperado" though!

I think there's a website that you might like to visit:

http://eaglesfans.sonicdns2.net/

It's run by a fan that actually posts on this site.

Thanks for the plug for the message board. The main website is www.eaglesfans.com.

A few things......Mike Campbell wrote the music for Heart of the Matter....Don Henley and JD Souther wrote the words.

About the Dixie Chicks.....the big announcement is probably going to be that the Eagles and Dixie Chicks are going to open the Nokia Live LA theatre in Los Angeles in October. The rumor is it will be six shows.

The Eagles have almost completed their new album.....they're aiming to have it around the end of Oct.....Oct. 30th is what Don Henley has said.

Hope to see some of your around our site.

Lisa and Melissa
