all these need to be on the Vault deux:

All The King’s Horses
Baby Doll
Beautiful Ghost
Cecelia
Chanel Chanel
Dial The Number
Forest of the Black Roses
Forsaken Love
Have No Heart
Joan of Arc
Maker Of Birds / 3 Birds of Rhiannon
Prettiest Girl In The World
Sanctuary
Something Exquisite
Space Needle
This is a excellent selection, but with the addition of Julia.

After reacquainting myself with all the other demos, here is my selection, in no particular order.

All the King's Horses
At the Fair
Are You Mine
Baby Doll
Cecelia
Channel Channel
Dial the Number
Forest of the Black Roses
Have No Heart
Julia
Love and War
Love Don't Fail Me Now
Night Gallery
Sanctuary
Something Exquisite
Space Needle
You Like Me

Some of these songs would need more treatment/rearrangement than others.

Now that most of my favorite demos have officially been recorded within the past 15 years, my wish list has really dwindled down to just a handful of songs. So if there are to be anymore "vault songs" revisited and recorded in the future, whether for "Fleetwood Mac" or more solo work, the few remaining "favorites" from my wish list are...

1. "Night Gallery"
2. "Spinning Wheels"
3. "Forsaken Love"
4. "China Doll"
5. "Love You Enough"
6. "Rock A Bye Baby"
7. "Joan Of Arc"

And that's about it. But I must also add that I'd rather have most of her future musical endeavors to be newly written material, to reflect where she is in her life now, settling into the strange and eccentric life of a "musical icon", the new experiences, the regrets, her hopes and goals for the future, possibly new loves (hey, it could happen) and new projects not associated with music.

So I've been wondering, if Stevie were to record her Rhiannon album from these remaining songs, what would we get?

Forest of the Black Roses
Forsaken Love
Maker of Birds
Stay Away

And perhaps a piano version of Rhiannon? What else am I missing?

I'm wondering what I'm missing.

It's not as if she has some grand, sweeping ,well-thought out plan and story line to build a concept album. I can't image she could achieve a feasibly cohesive narrative that would rise to that occasion. And do we really need another version of Rhiannon? It's yet another cannibalism of past glory.

It's understandable to romanticize about the idea. But I see no substantial ground. I doubt the the absence of any of these few songs on her new album is because she is saving them for some future project. I think she has moved beyond them.
She has indeed spoken about it on multiple occasions, and previously noted that she had recorded and mastered a good number of them for inclusion in some sort of project. In various interviews she has confirmed a number of these songs - when I have more time I can compile. She also referenced her Rhiannon project as recently as earlier this year.

I'm sorry for my ignorance; I was so unaware.

Default Rhiannon songs

Wouldn't it be amazing if Fleetwood Mac did a double album like Lindsey wants, and it included 6-8 Nicks songs, including the Rhiannon songs as a suite?

Well though it would be wonderful, SYW was a double album, and that was their last one, so I don't know how that would go over! But with Christine back, they just might do it again.

Well, sort of. On vinyl it was def a double album. On CD it was a (albeit quite long) single. Lindsey was disappointed that they didn't stick to doing a "double album", so from his view, SYW actually wasn't the double album (double CD) that he hoped for.

There's perhaps something to be said for this. If SYW had been a double CD its sales would have counted double. IF it had sold the same 900,000 it did, then it would have been certified Platinum (for 1.8 million), which might have goosed the sales somewhat and maybe could have bumped it to Double Platinum. That didn't happen because SYW was a "single" so it achieved Gold status for 900,000 in sales but stopped there.

I wish they would certify 'Say You Will' Platinum. It really deserves it and would be good for press when they say that their last album went Platinum.

Yes it does deserve it and should get more recognition. It's a favourite album of mine, I've been playing a lot lately and although not perfect, it really is very good! A superb, edgy album that is a real achievement for a band at that stage of their career.

I think we really need a double (or very long single) FM album next - with 3 songwriters that should be very possible

Default Double album

Well Lindsey's already stated he wants to do a double, and they already have 8 or more McVie songs, plus lots of Stevie back catalog.

That's great to know. They really do need to make it a double album. allowing room for each writer to contribute a substantial amount of material. After all, this could be the last album they ever make together. I hope they don't give it a lame title.
