Bring in a few more people and they could call it Mick's All Star Band, ala Ringo.....

How about Shania Twain? My first choice is still Sheryl Crow.

Lindsey who?

If I recall correctly, Mick saw Sheryl Crow performing in a bar in the early 90's. He asked her go join him at his table. He told her that she reminded him of Stevie Nicks. Imagine how history might have changed, if Mick had asked Sheryl to join Fleetwood Mac.

Why don't they just get all of the people who sang at the Musicares event, leave Mick, John, Stevie, Chris and the ringers home, and call it Fleetwood Mac. Clearly from Mick's perspective, it's the songs that make the band not the people who sing them. I am sure people would LOVE to hear Lorde slay the hell out of "Silver Springs" again.

Or, we could just get all the people from FM, who don't beat women, together and call it Fleetwood Mac. Oh wait. We've already done that. Problem solved.

Always completely unnecessary, inappropriate and disrespectful to the seriousness of such topics.

And my comment wasn't even that "serious" which I was all the more perplexed. Oh well--to each is own

How is that off base? They fired the man who beats women. There is a little bit of justice in the world. Shouldn't everyone be happy?

The fact that you think band politics of decades later serves as a "justice" for domestic violence is appalling and disturbing.
And if that's your logic, then there's a bit of trouble considering that John's still in the band. Even though he, ya know, chased Christine down with an axe

Totally agree dreamsunwind, and furthermore Stevie went after Lindsey--she even admits it, actually said she was going to "kill him" and actually defended Lindsey after one of Mick's many fairy tails was published and highlighted one of the incidents that is oft referred to here. . Based upon your assessment, most of this band should be thrown out....so yes, I would say you are way off base here.

Sheryl Crow, Michael Campbell, and Neil Finn are all GREAT musicians. This is no disrespect to their musical ability. However, they have no place in Fleetwood Mac. The band is about chemistry.

Which was completely flat over the last few gigs. Two high dollar flat/not really even going through the motions gigs, Lindsey’s unfortunate grab the money and run comment on XM Radio, a concurrent/delayed tour, Mick wanting to do older songs, TP’s death, and who knows what else all probably contributed to this. I doubt it was just one thing, and if it were, it would be money. We’ll likely never know the full story.
