Best of Peter Green Splinter Group

Happened to notice a recent 2-CD set, "Best of Peter Green Splinter Group", on Amazon. The release date is shown as 25 September, on the Snapper label. It looks like this is all previously-released material - anyone know for sure? Here's the product info:

15 track best of including special bonus disc featuring 5 tracks re-visiting Green's early career. Tracks including 'Burglar', 'I'm A Steady Rollin Man', 'Big Change Is Gonna Come', 'Phonograph Blues', 'Help Me', 'Sweet Home Chicago', 'Hitch Hiking Woman', 'Tribal Dance', 'Homework', 'Love In Vain', 'You'll Be Sorry Some Day', 'Look On Yonder Wall', 'Travelling Riverside Blues', 'Goin Down', 'Hiding In Shadows', 'Albatross' (Bonus), 'Green Manalishi' (Bonus), 'Rattlesnake Shake' (Bonus), 'Supernatural' (Bonus) & 'Man Of The World' (Bonus). Don't want to get into any discussions on the court case, but I'm guessing that everything has now been settled or else it would not be possible to release this CD set.

This sounds to me like the "Best Of" CD that has already been available for a while now.. that white one with Green on the cover.

It was released after the Hot Foot Powder album, and it contained the bonus tracks from the Soho Sessions concert. Didn't SG split with their record label after Hot Foot...? (Or was it Destiny Road?) I notice that there are no songs from after that on this album.

By the way, I've also noticed an expended Peter Green In Concert" DVD, that contains a bonus CD .. I guess it contains live tracks, but maybe not those on the DVD.. any info on this?

Thanks, Daniel. I didn't remember that earlier "Best Of" release, but it does sound like the same one - I figured that the bonus tracks on the 2nd disc were from the Soho Sessions set.

I'll have to look up that expanded DVD release, I had not noticed that one.

I recall that the early best of release was a bad pressing with read write errors. I do not know if they recalled them.
