You can also hear it on Youtube, and Apple Music.

Maybe I'm the only one who's slightly annoyed that they included versions on this new deluxe release that were performed after the album's original release?

At first I was, then I thought, "Well, I'll take any unreleased stuff at this point from them. Especially, 1978-90

Yeah especially since it seems like they are running out of material .I was kind of surprised that they did the deluxe thing for Live. It was kind of a commercial flop in it's time and the only official Fleetwood Mac release including compilations and live albums with just these five people to not go multi-platinum.

In case anyone hasn't heard the new preview song from LIVE deluxe yet!

Gold Dust Woman - Live at The Forum, Inglewood, CA 8/29/77

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Zp2WKvnG_E

It sounds amazing to my ears, especially the little intro at the beginning!

I hate to ask this because I pretend not to care about such matters, but did Live sell at least a million?

According to Chartmaster’s site world wide sales of the Live album are 2.2 million

https://chartmasters.org/2016/10/csp...y-analysis/30/

RIAA certified the album as gold in 1981 at 500,000 copies in the US

Found this fun fact at RIAA site

It has only managed to reach gold in the U.S. a major disappointment considering Fleetwood Mac's status in 1980 . Like I pointed out earlier for comparison the Eagles double live released just a few weeks before Fleetwood Mac Live went platinum six times over .

Even though FM has always been my #1 band, The Eagles have always been the #1 band in America, with FM being #2. Their appeal is more universal, and they marketed themselves much better than FM.

Can you begin to imagine having an idiot/junkie like Mick managing one of the biggest bands in the world? No wonder they finally fired him.

I do love the live album, though...

I'm not pleased with the selections that were chosen for this collection because I have all but one or two of them in my bootleg archives. Angel from Cleveland is a track I play on a regular basis because my copy is outstanding and the vocal and musical arrangement are so different from the record. It is wonderful and you can literally hear the excitement the band has in performing it.The only thing I can hope for is that this upcoming released version sounds BETTER than the copy I have been enjoying for umpteen years.
IMO any song chosen for this release like The Chain, should sound better than any previously Chain versions we have gotten from them. And it's not. The Chain from the Mirage video was outstanding. The Chain from the Tusk Deluxe set from Wembley is outstanding. This new one is meh in performance and dynamic sound quality. This GDW is horrible compared to other ones from the Rumours Tour. I really wish they would contact me, put me in a room with all their live tapes, let me listen to them for a year and then hand them the songs I feel could best represent them.

You have all but two already?

I guess that the GDW from Rumours Deluxe is from Nashville, Columbia, Oklahoma City, or Tulsa — I don’t know which. I only have Nashville and Oklahoma City and I haven’t bothered to cross-compare. But I played the latest GDW and the older GDW on my laptop the other day, and I really like the sound quality on the latest a lot better. The older one sounds a little muffled by comparison.

Lately, the Rhino site has been listing Monday Morning and World Turning from Rumours Deluxe as having been recorded Aug 29, 1977, at the Forum. How can that be? I doubt Lindsey was performing Monday Morning on an acoustic guitar as late as the end of August. He may have been using an acoustic very early in the tour. Plus, the August 29 show was not originally part of the advertising for the Deluxe live tracks (just the four I already mentioned). So there is incompetence and error all around with these tour stop labels. Really irksome.

This reminds me of when Nancy Sinatra once said that all of The Rat Pack Vegas performances were recorded. And the tapes are just sitting around somewhere.

There are hundreds of live tapes, sound board tapes, better quality than any the fans have circulated, complete with unscripted, unplanned moments we don't know about yet. And no one will ever hear them, except maybe some bored relative a generation or two from now who might make them available after all of the people who really cared are dead.

Surely true. But unless they’ve been transferred or duplicated, they’re disintegrating. Magnetic tape, film stock, vinyl all deteriorate. Unless the curators take action, everybody loses. The tour-ending Hollywood Bowl concerts were probably recorded, because the original plan was to release a live album of those gigs. But those recordings are already forty-one years old. What’s amazing about the live cuts on the deluxe sets isn’t that someone at Warner/Rhino decided to release them but that there was anything left to work with, forty years later. Maybe there has been some responsible curation all these years. I never would have thought so.

Now I’m thinking of my own personal collection of Memorex cassette tapes and VHS and Beta videos. I have had some professionally transferred to digital, but that is expensive. Consequently, most of them are just rotting away.

The Tusk hangover is what led to dim album sales. If they had released a live Rumours album, it would have sold similar to the Eagles live album. This is why Warner Brothers put up resistance to this album. Tusk got such flak which is remembered but not the scale of negativity. When Christine introduces a Tusk song "We havent played anything from Tusk so we are going to try some out tonight for you......." The crowd is silent. They did not want to hear Over and Over. People hated Tusk. The song Tusk was actually on a list of worst songs ever on a radio station countdown of the worst songs ever. Mick was the only one forcing the album to happen which everyone threw in his face "I told you so" when it also had disappointing album sales. The band was a platinum album band and the Live album sales embarrassed the band. However its probably one of Mick's best decisions ever. The Mac live was a different animal in the 70s and its so wonderful they were recorded and shared with the world. This is album so so much better than the Dance. OMG I cant even compare them.
