Default Stevie's Hair!

What is up with Stevie's hair at this weeks photo on the nicksfix? It is dark brown. I never knew her hair was ever this color. This is the first I have ever seen of this. What timeframe did she let her hair get so dark? Thanks!

I believe she dyed her hair brown or black in the late 80's. I don't know why. Other than then, wasn't her hair brown before she joined FM? Or was it dirty blonde?

Yes her hair was somewhat darker before joining FM, and when she first joined, as on the back of the white album cover. Also during the Tusk tour, as in pics of her with the red "Sara" shawl, hair up...

Stevie's hair did seem to naturally be teetering somewhere between light brown and dark blond. (Sometimes with rainbow streaks...I love those pics! We were graced with red ones again in '89!) I love her hair on the white album back cover! I think it looks great brown too (ie, TimeSpace cover)! That is one good looking wig...are we sure, or could it have been temporary dye? She had her hair in that exact style in some interviews of that era except it was blonde. I thought she looked great in that big, tight curled, long afro-esque, brown wig too. Heck, I love her in all of her past, present and future 'dos!

People also done realize she wore a hair piece on the top of her head during the Tango In The Night/Rock The Cage concert video. I didn't see them on the tour but I assume she probably wore it at alot for the shows. Im gay and have a ton wig/makeup experience so I know what Im talking about lol. You can tell by looking at the video, not only is the top part HUGE, the texture and color don't quite match up with the bottom and other parts of her hair.

Looking at the pic closely, I tend to think it was a color rinse on her own hair.

Wigs (even great ones) usually have a pretty clear line of demarcation, but in this pic, you can see wispy brown hairs around Stevie's ear. On a guy, it's right where we'd call it a "sideburn"... not sure what it's called for a woman!

In other words, it has the appearance of naturally growing hair.
But who knows!

It could be a temporary color or it could be a doctored picture, too. I have seen some where she has done some hand-tinting of the hair color. And those are usuually colors which don't look quite right-like this one. It's brown, but not really a brown you ever see in someone's haircolor (JMO). I think the TimeSpace cover has the handtinted look, too.
In regards to MageBoys coments about the TITN tour hair, I always thought it was the bottom of her hair that looked fake, i.e. she was wearing extensions as she occasionally then and since.
